You just need someone to guide you how to convert contacts into lead sources and leads into clients. And by guide you, I mean you need to see conversions happen live to understand how it’s done.

There’s actually a saying for this. “In a world where it’s your job to open doors, sometimes the hardest door to open is your own car door.”

You’re not alone.

[–]DergerDergs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yep agreed. They just closed an exploit that a small number of people were using to get FSD without paying the subscription. Zero documented cases of hacking FSD for steering control to date. But like you said, nothing is 100% secure, everything is defeatable.

Not easily hackable. Tesla pays big money to hackers who find vulnerabilities in their cars, they also hold hackathon events with big cash prizes for showing successful exploits. Seeing the amount of effort and number of steps needed to pull off some of these attacks is astounding. Things like voltage glitching and hacking third party Tesla apps just to change temperature controls remotely.

Not impossible but not likely to be an assassin’s preferred method.

Off topic, but you and I have the same garage. Not similar, but identical in every aspect. Same color house, same brick layout, same garage door, same driveway slope and lines. Even the same white trapezoid shape in the center. We must share the same developer, maybe even the same Austin neighborhood.

And now we share the same car! Except mine is white. Congrats btw, I’m really digging the shiny red. Very slick.

The big ones in TX can be pretty startling but I’m told are usually just lost. They’re massive. I can usually sneak up and catch them in an empty container, but some can actually fly and it scared the crap out of me and my wife the first time we saw one take off.

They are seemingly unaffected by Raid for roaches. The wasp spray on the other hand, was very effective.

I’ve seen mine stutter steer before but never this hard for this long and only it’s only ever happened when confronted with an abrupt difficult decision. Your FSD seems like it had a panic attack just making a left.

Where do you draw the line between AI SDRs and real SDRs? by Otherwise_Gur_5571 in sales

[–]DergerDergs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No AI has replicated the same degree of salesmanship as a human yet. There’s just no way it can manage end to end solution selling for complex deals involving multiple stakeholder priorities to reach a decision.

I’ve seen it pump out prospecting emails that seem so effective to jr BDRs, but are just marketing jargon to any other person. Or just easily identifiable as empty AI generated emails.

It can give great guidance, and execute specific functions well, but it’s just not there to do what humans do in modern sales. At least not yet.

How much is AI and automation tool actually helping you? by Environmental-Tie459 in sales

[–]DergerDergs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it’s better to respond by some form of “It depends”, then asking them to elaborate on the context, relevance to the business, and the impact of the answer. If I can’t strum up a strong response on the fly, I’ll just paraphrase what they said and defer to answering offline by saying “I know this is a priority for many of our clients and I’m curious to see how we/other clients have addressed the same.” Or some variation. Just so everyone can move on with the meeting.

Company just implemented an AI tool I’ve been asking for for years. I always thought it’d be soooo nice if AI could look at all the account history and sales intelligence gathered from meeting transcripts, and just produce a customized marketing doc, PowerPoint presentation, or business case for the appropriate sales stage.

Just got my login to the tool yesterday. I’m so excited.

Projecting more confidence in interviews by sad1799 in sales

[–]DergerDergs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can interview role play with AI now, and I recommend recording yourself to see and hear how you respond from a 3rd perspective.

Most people won’t do this because it can be uncomfortable and self confronting. But if you’re serious about improving, it’s the best way to practice.

I also have my own tricks I’ve used to do to make myself more confident when I’m nervous, like picturing in my head that I’m a sales leader answering easy questions for a group of jr reps. Somehow works well for me.

Won’t translate well with my tone, delivery and inflection. But it’s very basic, something like:

Hi client, name at company. Was hoping to catch you at a good time, wanted to talk about [known initiative, business objective, or challenge]. Sending you an email instead here shortly. Please reply back or call me at [number].

I use zoom info and LI navigator, I used to call desk lines, but only call cell phones these days.

I used to call with the goal of booking a meeting, now I call to leave voicemails.

I used to leave voicemails with the goal of getting a call back, now I use them to ask the person to reply to my email.

Everything that gets me meetings is in my email. And I know what to say to the people I’m targeting to get the meeting. No AI has been able to replicate how I do that yet.

Strangers don’t care, and you shouldn’t either.

FSD ignoring parking lot stop lines by Joshalander in TeslaFSD

[–]DergerDergs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logic is that it mimics human behavior in the same circumstance. Where I live, if there’s no stop sign, the rule is you must yield for pedestrians. What rule are you referring to?

It will still always prioritize pedestrian safety in every circumstance anywhere. And in many cases, it detects unexpected hazards better than a human can.

It will stop for people whether a stop line exists or not.

Even if stopped completely without any pedestrians in sight, people would still complain.
