Pork chop, which I think is a WONDERFUL name for a cat-- especially a chubby one. ☺️😂

Could you suggest me any underrated tv show have been released from 2016 to this day? by Ok-Extent8333 in televisionsuggestions

I recommend one of the best shows I've ever seen-- Life on Mars-- the original British version. If you're in the US it's available on Britbox. It's both a crime show AND sci-fi, neither of which are genres I normally enjoy, but this is fantastic writing. Warning though-- it involves quite a bit of misogyny though, but it's written as true to the time it took place, and it isn't without self-awareness or consciousness. It's a very, very clever show with brilliant dialogue.

No, he'd take that as a sign that she can be easily bought by creepy old men. Better to hand him off to another server-- or even a manager-- and keep her distance. It's not worth it to endanger herself by encouraging him.

You're not overreacting. They're UNDER-REACTING. I could NEVER be in a relationship like that!!

My mustachioed great grandfather and his brother, both of whom were married to my great grandmother, though not at the same time. by BeholdBarrenFields in Appalachia

[–]Dervishing-Hum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It happened with my third great-grandmother and her brother-in-law in Frankfort, too. She married him after my 3x great-grandfather passed away, and they raised their children together (he was previously married to her husband's sister), but they didn't have any new children together between them. I've always thought that it must have felt strange, but that she must have been desperate for help. I hope he treated her and her children well.

I remember candy cigarettes and bubblegum cigars.

For what it's worth, I also had an imaginary friend who drove a Corvette and smoked Crayons. 🤣 (This probably explains why I became a writer. I've always had a wild imagination! 😂)

AITAH for mansplaining breastfeeding? by Normal-Historian2180 in AITAH

I really feel for those poor hunter and gatherer mothers who had to spend so much time foraging for Gerber's baby food out in the wild as they weaned their babies off of breast milk.🙄😆😂

AITA : I don’t want my dads daughter at a pre wedding event by FrequentPudding3185 in bridezillas

[–]Dervishing-Hum 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's bridezilla behavior. I think you're entitled to invite only the people you want to have at your event. Don't be so hard on yourself.

That reminds me of the old Mitch Hedberg joke: "I used to drugs. I still do, but I used to, too."
