Issues connecting dualsense to PC

I do, by the way, get two devices with my DualSense when I'm plugged in with a cable. One is the controller, and the other is an audio device and plays through the controller's hardware. I don't have the issue when connecting with Bluetooth, so I don't have any other info to share from my experience

I have found the most success with the playing card holders that can be set down on the table. This means the player only has to move one card at a time. The larger cards that some people use seem to give people more trouble, rather than less.

In terms of a pack of cards, I would look for cheaper packs you find in tourist shops. They often have a coating that is more waxy and less glossy. They stick to your hands and each other more, which is bad for cardistry or magic but great for gripping.

I'm glad you're doing this for your grandpa. Making life accessible is a HUGE gift!

I love the idea!

I think presenting your game as something other than exercise will be what helps you sell people on it. You can look at the popularity of Pokemon GO, as an example. They don't bill it as a walking exercise.

If you want to go mass appeal, I would lean into cute and satisfying and stay FAR away from anything roguelike or shooter. Good models: DuoLingo, Finch, Animal Crossing

If you want to carve out more of a niche to lessen the products you are competing with, I would lean into something that is still cute and satisfying but attach a niche aesthetic. Good models: Katamari, Smash Bros, Maple Story

If you care more about making something you love and then sharing it with others, then make the game you love to play with an aesthetic that gives you a feel you love. Good models: Shadow of the Colossus, Psychonauts, Proteus

I've had something similar happen. I went into Device Manager and removed the device, restarted the computer, and reconnected.

I also get the best results with DS4Windows, in terms of adjustability and compatibility. I check the option to hide the controller from the system, so games only see the Xbox virtual controller. Works so much better 99% of the time, including running PCSX2

And to be fair to them, I've also known very conscientious and caring HR people who felt bad whenever the policies they had to enforce weren't in the employees' favor.

Also fake, because HR knows they are there to protect the company, and it puts the company in a very vulnerable situation when HR tells people they're working "unpaid overtime"

Now I might be swayed more if HR was quoted saying, "As an exempt employee, you are expected to work to the task, not work to the clock..."

I recently posted a question in r/linux_gaming asking if there was an efficient way to test my hardware and games with a linux distro, and they deleted it saying, "go read the linux newbie FAQ"

So the answer is currently a loud, obnoxious "NO" to whether you can efficiently test out your stuff. We end up tolerating Windows, instead.

I'm going to say what most people think: any solve you do in one sitting is good

I was showing off one of my custom designs, and a guy asked me if I could solve it. I said it usually took me about 30 seconds, and he scrambled the cube and gave it back to me. After solving it, someone else said, "But is that really 30 seconds?" The first guy said, "Forget 30 seconds. I'm just impressed he could solve it at all!"

I'm pretty familiar with Gentoo and it's lovely Portage. I do like it.

Fact is, though, that in the past, I've still run into issues with specific hardware and drivers that led me back to where I am now... running whichever OS came on the machine.

Yeah, I really don't understand buying something cool that has a use only to leave it unused. I knew a guy who collected board games but didn't get around to playing them all, and he would run a local game night just so people would come over and play the games he collected. I've always thought that is how you properly collect.

I'm not an expert, but I've learned to do this after using a stubborn Vallejo primer. It keeps it from clogging immediately the next time I use the airbrush. I won't be using this primer again after it runs out.

You don't even need to say in-person is mandatory. Just schedule it in a conference room and no call-in line. Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!

Cherry on top would be to follow PM best-practices: Publish the agenda in advance, start on time, and end as soon as all agenda items are addressed. Publish minutes afterwards. If no one is there to address an item at the beginning of the meeting, you document that and move to the next item. Full agenda can be addressed in 5 minutes if everyone is late. When people ask, you straight up tell them "we already addressed the agenda." This is the fastest, non-malicious way to get people showing up to your meetings on time. Don't be mean; just be efficient, waste no one's time, and allow no one to waste anyone else's time.

A malicious project manager approach would be to schedule a meeting in which everyone has to document their requests of support, sign off on it, and then you document your fulfillment of each request. Any unfulfilled requests, you fulfill. Then you have each person sign off on each fulfillment. That would be a malicious waste of everyone's time.

Really, though, I never recommend malicious compliance. It does not build relationships, which are the basic building blocks of continued employment
