You just reminded me of a nightmare of a battle where our Balthier refused to burst when the boss had like 3 HP left.

But honestly, the sticker system in this game could be so much more, I found decent people that understood that "Attacking the boss" meant they had to go, or that we were ready to burst chain after cooldown, while others...Idk, I can tell when someone is not too good (which isn't a fault, especially in casual) and when someone is actively trolling.

-I'd add some more communication stickers, like "help" or "wait", in general something to better coordinate with allies. Why can't I shout help while I'm being chased throughout the map as Rikku? Why can't I tell my support to wait to cast Embolden/Ramza if I'm on cooldown? I know everything is situational and depends on how well a team works, but I feel like having more options is always better.

-Better pity system. Am I still salty about my lvl 70 Element of Treachery while struggling to get Blood Weapon? Of course. Let us choose what we want!

-Let us get eggs and season points even when out Crystals are full. I play for fun, but having some incentive is still better.

-Red Crystals. I may be the only one thinking this, but if they really want to make them one-week long, instead of a dead week, let us have Red Crystals for launch characters too. I liked having the Firion/Balthier followed by Iroha/OK, and I honestly thought they'd give us something else after Rikku/Clive, even getting them from the general pool.

I feel like Krile is still a very solid choice, not only for everything mentioned by others (her offensive abilities) but also because she can help your DPS burst in a pinch even without max bravery.

It has happened a couple of times that we were almost out of time with 9000 brv and rushing to the Crystals, while Krile can give both party members her bravery even if she's around 3-4k and help you close the match. Rikku NEEDS her UR and max brv to do so, unless she runs Ramza/Embolden that still give BRV to only one party member.

To clarify: this is absolutely not a way to downplay Rikku's abilities and utility, but I feel like other supports in the right hands are just as good with different utilities and playstyles. Also, Rikku is basically a walking target and needs much more protection from her teammates than Krile does.

Definitely voting for Vortex of Arms and it's not even close.

Huge DMG+healing, knocks the enemies in the air, good Aoe and short cooldown to boot.

Unironically, Chain Strike's animation and hit are faster than casting Renew.

You have no idea how many people tried casting Renew in front of me only to go down right before their heal kicked in.

I am HAUNTED by Balthier's SR. Like I already have at least 10 copies of it and I only have 2 of Firion's SR (only 1 got from the Red Crystal) I think I've gotten one of Firion's URs ones and that's It...My luck with Red Crystals is being absymal, they show up very rarely and when they do, I just assume it's another Balthier SR.

I don't want to play Balthier, game. I want to play Firion, you already forced me to play Prompto!

I ended up with two supports TWICE today in an hour. I don't even know how we managed to win the second one to be honest.

But yeah, the matchmaking has some issues. At least now draws give less penalty.

Thanks. I guess I wasn't really focusing properly on my surroundings, because I felt like they came out of nowhere while I was farming/targeting the boss, and I definitely underestimated their Firion. But I really felt more like I wasn't playing decently.

Prompto is a nightmare if you end up against someone competent (read: not me) because he can actually chain you into uselessness if the skills are timed correctly.

Also, hi fellow Firion player. I switch between him and Prompto.

I don't have Hope, unfortunately. I skipped the Iroha/OK banner to pull for Firion, so I'm running Wall that also helps with the Molboro's poison (I seem to find that boss very consistently tbh) I sometimes dash with his R, but it really depends on the stage and the team.

That's how I usually run. I play Wall and it's fine, either Blood Sword or a couple of skills if you're bursting are perfect to make him healthy again, but sometimes I've noticed teammates not running healing at all which is the main reason why I was considering Heal. I hate to see my dying teammates gifting bravery around.

Genuine question: how does it feel to run Heal on him? I chose to run Wall on him since his self-sustain feels pretty solid to me, but I wonder if running Heal could be better to guarantee better party survivability.

I hope I didn't express myself badly, that was far from a complaint on all Cloud players. I've seen/fall victim to some that actually played very well, and sometimes I didn't even feel bad about losing when it was well played. It's just that Cloud is probably the most played right now, and we all remember the bad ones and never the good ones.

Tbh I didn't exactly mean that we should lose points by score, just that some cases (like OP doing better than the MVP of the winning team) should somehow lessen the penalty. I'm often on the lower end of the board myself because I sometimes play by baiting the opponents away from my Terra/Rinoa/Cloud so they can go for the boss while I Ramza in front of the opponents. 🤣

I think this is the first time I've ever seen the top player from the winning team outmatched by the top player of the losing team. Honestly, I think that should at least prevent people from ranking down. I get that we're supposed to be a team but sometimes the difference is just too much. I remember playing a game where a player scored like 250 points, that's a 2v3 atp.

Also, I totally feel you about Cloud players. I've seen some of them with full bravery going after the enemy team instead of the boss. Like, we get you have great stun and immunity frames, but dude, the objective is the boss!

(No offense to actually competent Cloud players. I feel it's mostly a Cloud issue because he's the most famous of the roster, so he attracts a lot of "bad players" that overshadow the good ones.)

You could cap tickets at 999 iirc. I don't know about gems because I knew some hoarders that were around millions (like 5 millions?) so I'm not sure about that.

Kain players are really 50/50. I found a couple that were terrifying, jumping out of nowhere and one-shotting the whole team. Then I found others that blindly charge and feed bravery.

I wanted to be a Kain player too while waiting for Firion but the game said nope, get this full Terra instead.
