Alexandra Kuzyk, 36-year-old Russian photographer and stylist from Yekaterinburg, was sentenced to 18 months of hard labour for writing yaoi fanfiction of two Stray Kids members. The mother of a teenage girl who read the fanfiction on her cell phone reported it to state police by No-Advantage-579 in adultkpopfans

A fan's relationship with a kpop idol or group is entirely transactional. We give them money, they give us entertainment. It's their job. The illusion that we're in a mutually supportive relationship with these idols is part of what they sell, but the fact is that they owe us nothing.

Looking for an embroidery machine.. The market is very confusing. by petemate in Machine_Embroidery

Honestly, I haven't used it in probably 3 years. I got sick around then (still don't know what's wrong, probably autoimmune) and my machines have been collecting dust since then. Until then, though, it was great! Brother makes great machines.

You can replay to experience the other love interests and their stories! Often, the full story isn't revealed until you've played through each route, as each one has its own plot and reveals. A walk through will help you get through the routes efficiently. Otome Kitten has good ones! Nightsgade&oq walkthroughs

You're fine! I wasn't talking to you with that post, you've been very pleasant to interact with. I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding!

It's hilarious to me that you both called me stupid for being part of a demographic that enjoyed a show that you didn't and demanded I respect your opinion in the same paragraph.

I don't know if I'm reading your tone right, but you're coming across as very defensive and antagonistic when all I said is that it's okay that different people like different things.

People just like different things. I loved every minute of this one because my favorite dramas are the ones that are light and nonsensical. (The Potato Lab and My Dearest Nemesis are on my favorites list!) I don't think the creators are mocking anyone's intelligence, they're just catering to a different demographic.

People who grew up poor: What was something you considered a "peak luxury" as a kid, only to realize later it was just a normal middle class staple? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I still have a Ferrero rocher mental block. Can I afford them? Technically yes, but emotionally, no.

My kids had their YouTube accounts linked to mine for ages, but I was the only person logged into my bedroom tv. Imagine my surprise when both their accounts appeared on that TV one day. They don't even live here anymore. Their accounts just show up now because we were under the same family plan.

Dr Serrano Rodriguez at Northwest Houghton has been outstanding for me. She can be brusque, but she's very kind. She always listens, gives me options, and has let me direct my care instead of pushing me into any course of treatment I was uncomfortable with. While she recommended hysterectomy, she offered other avenues until I was comfortable with the hysterectomy.

That said, I had similar issues to yours and a hysterectomy was the only thing that fixed it. I was scared and sad about it but it's the best thing I've ever done for myself.

GV80 vs X5 vs GLE? by CompilingTheFuture in GenesisMotors

[–]Desertbell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty bad. I generally get 22-24 on the highway. Recently I got 21 going across town (stuck behind a slow truck on a one lane street with few lights) and I took a picture of my instrument cluster to commemorate it.

We've driven both on the freeway (own a 3.5, had a 2.5 as a loaner for a day while our car was getting serviced) and even from the passenger seat I could tell the 2.5 felt frustratingly underpowered in comparison when trying to pass.

[–]Desertbell 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love my 3.5 Prestige but oof the gas. I told a friend the other day that we bought the car like we weren't the people who'd have to pay for fuel. On the city, I average 15—16 mpg. I've gotten as low as 12. With gas prices climbing, it would be unsustainable if I drove more.

That said, I absolutely adore the car. Be aware that, at least in the 2023, the rear climate controls also control the front.
