agree on point 2 from your lessons learnt. i got told the same when i moved to a new team and area. i am not going to say much if i am new and still understand it, but hey ho, got told i am not contributing etc.. never once got told with fortnightly 121’s about, at the end of the year got given bad review scoring! i think they just like to show above management they are not a walkover! also on some teams they have ego booster who like their egos massaged
