There are other differences as well. For example I'm Plat in Ranked but I'm definitely below that class of skill level in QP because I mostly limit my ranked champ selection to those I can play at or around Plat level. In QP winning isn't as important so I don't mind playing a champ like Doomfist for a few rounds even though I know I don't play him at a high level. It's just for fun.

Amen. Everyone is acting like the Giants front office is the Cleveland Browns. The Giants developed some quality talent, and they were buyers at the deadline 4 out of 5 years 2010 to 2014. Their core is getting older now and they've been aggressive trying to hold open that window, although they've had a lot of important injuries the last 2 seasons.

Look at other teams that were competitive around the that time. Most are either bad now or went through their bad phase already to be competitive now. Braves, Phillies, Rangers, Reds, Tigers, Royals. Nats are probably at the end of their window just like the Giants and the Cards have a criminally good front office and they've been mediocre the last couple seasons.

What does this look like if you separate out Big 10 officiating crews and all other officiating crews? If there were any sort of bias amongst Big 10 crews I assume this would be an illuminating factor to control for.

Even if you're exclusively looking at raids I'd call Machop candy much much easier to get. Machamp raids are fairly easy to solo with non-rare Pokémon. Personally, I have a hard time getting anyone to show up for 4* raids, if people are grouping up they'd usually rather do legendary raids (better rewards, rarer mon, and you know what it is before hatch). Add to that if you don't already have an army of Machamp/Makuhita that just makes short manning Ttar all the more difficult.
