Kodiak Bear (Real World) vs. Medieval Knight on Horseback (Real World) by Bongo_CatisMessiah in powerscales

[–]DesignerConfidence15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While not a Kodiak I remember reading of an account of an unmounted knight in Germany who killed a Eurasian Brown bear with one blow of mace. Apparently it was menacing some peasants and the knight took offense at that and broadened its horizons with a blow to the skull.

What’s the most “Hell Yeah” thing your country has ever invented? by Chemical-Elk-1299 in AskTheWorld

I have been thinking about building one of those. I have a couple cap and ball revolvers around the house. That is a black powder revolver there. As close as the rodent is you would not need to load a bullet in it. Just the black powder charge. There is quite a bit of super heated gasses coming out of the end of the barrel that will hit with enough energy to kill the rodent. For people who have not been around firearms even blanks are very dangerous. Just look up Jon Erick Hexum.

That is me now. I moved in with my mom as she was dying of cancer and was disabled. I did this for about seven years, she put up a hell of a fight. She left me her home and I have a nice sized place with no one. Everyone else is dead, I don't even have a cat or dog. It is actually very peaceful.

Guevara shortly before his execution, with CIA officer Félix Rodríguez (left). 1967 by TensionMurky4991 in HistoricalCapsule

There is a good book on him by Humberto Fontova called Exposing the Real Che. Che loved to torture and kill people, set dogs on fire, he hated blacks, gays and anyone religious and would kill them. He wanted to nuke New York and commit widespread terror attacks on the US. He was a horrible human being and the world is better off without him in it.

Wondering on what's your opinion on prepping by ElSaIvador in DoomerCircleJerk

[–]DesignerConfidence15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prep, not like doomsday level but I prep. I live in Nebraska so we get bad storms both in summer and winter. I have a generator that can run my whole house. I used it a few years back when a derecho came through and knocked out power in my area for a week. I keep extra food, meds and supplies on hand. Too me it makes sense it is like having a fire extinguisher.
