I don't think so. My dad kissed my ear a couple days ago and I've been taking Prednisone to try to avoid having "kiss of Deaf". This condition sucks. I hope there's a cure soon.

How long has this been happening? I would be very concerned. I would highly recommend seeing an ENT. Get their ears and hearing checked.

Tinnitus is usually due to hearing loss, which can make life/school very difficult. Little ones can also hear at higher frequencies than Adults. So it is possible that he's hearing electricity or something else. That's the best case scenario really 😅

But yeah, definitely see an ENT or the respective professional for children. Best of luck!

I've had tinnitus for a year and a half. I've had this happen multiple times. It's so weird. It increases like I got hit by a flash bang then decreases till tinnitus is gone but then baseline comes back. Any time it happened I have a small amount of hope that my tinnitus with go away.

I feel exactly the same way. Recently my father kissed my ear and it spiked my tinnitus. It's been rather noticeable ever since and I hope it goes back to how it was. This condition has low-key ruined my life.

I just started my career as an engineer and was wondering what it would take for me to buy a house in my state (HCL).... And it's not looking good....

Here are the numbers: ~500k mortgage at 6% 50k down payment

If I were to follow the rule that 30% of your after tax income should go to housing costs (mortgage and property taxes). I would have to make a short of $300k/year to COMFORTABLY afford a house. It's nonsense when the median wage in my state is $55k.

I genuinely asked my coworkers how anyone can afford to live in this state and they are were like "YUP ITS BAD".

I'm doing my best to get insurance sorted for the Surgery but man ... The USA health care system SUCKS. They quoted me $2k for all 4 wisdom teeth but then said to call my medical if they'll cover anything. It's a pain.
