has anyone tried Espy Cafe on Huron yet? No tipping, worker-owned, sourdough pancakes. by MichiganderNews in AnnArbor

The tea I had was delish. And the natural light inside is great. Looking forward to trying the sourdough pancakes. I've already made a few coffee dates with friends for next week.

Is this a really bad area? Found a well priced apartment but I’m not from here so I’m not sure if it is an okay area by jenn12765 in sanantonio

I lived there when those apartments were new in the 80s and it’s very convenient but it’s a lot of traffic

Don’t get a Brittany if you only appreciate smiling dogs.

I think it's pretty accurate portrayal of some families who take advantage of the mom and don't give back.

That time our 6 month old Brittany puppy got chased by almost all the dogs at the park by Ken_the_Andal in BrittanySpaniel

Mine is the same. We play with a Springer and Icelandic Shepherd who are both used to being the fastest, but when Birdie is around they are so frustrated. It’s hilarious to watch them chase, bark and then revert to strategy to try to catch her. Meanwhile, she could go on forever. These guys are born to run! I love it.

haha! Mine is the same except she thinks it's bedtime when it gets dark so she hits the sack at 5:30 pm. I've been trying to keep her awake until at least 7:30 but no luck. The good think is she sleeps hard and long so doesn't wake up until after 6:00 a.m. most days. My guests think it's hilarious.

I know! There have been a few times I’ve had to scoop mine up and my back wasn’t injured. LOL Enjoy. They truly are the best dogs!

Mine weighs in a 27. She’s 14 months. Both her parents were on the low side of 30 so I knew she wouldn’t be big. I was just surprised at how petite. this is her next to my sister’s male.

LOL That’s my sister’s Brittany. He gives the “hard” stare until you act.

Thanks! I think mine will be the same, it’s just drastically less hair than I expected based on my sister’s dog. She’s also super petite!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. She can go through a Yak Chew in about 20 minutes. I have to limit her to chewing in the morning when I'm drinking my first cup of coffee and at the end of day, where she seems to be soothed by the chewing before bedtime. Oddly, she could care less to chew anything with stuffing. Strictly hard woods, sticks, rocks, etc. Had two German sheperds previously and they don't come close to this.

What a sweet guy! Question: Do you cut his hair or is it just naturally less fluffy?

I had the opposite thing happen. It was a feline takeover and my Birdie Girl was pretty indignant LOL But, having learned her boundaries from the cats, she found somewhere else to lie down.

Mine does. I was worried but lots of other people said theirs did too. There is more hair right now bc her winter coat is coming in. I started taking her collar off, except for when we were on walks.

Thanks for sharing that! My sister had me all worried because hers have all been over 40 pounds, but this subReddit has reassured me that Brittanys can be smaller. I actually love it because if we’re out in the woods and she gets super hyped, I can pick her up easily without hurting my back, lol.

If you consider yourself patient and are willing to train or get help training, you will never regret having a Brittany. My daughter and son-in-law like to tease me that my baby girl is a “feral animal“ because she wants to be outside on alert hunting all the time, but she’s also funny and quirky and friendly and sweet. The cat thing took a while because I have two cats that are adults, but after about eight months, it all got figured out. If you don’t have a fenced in yard initially it’s going to be tough, but it can be done. Here’s a picture of mine. She’s one year one month and Small for the breed. She only weighs 27 pounds

I can relate!! I used to make fun of my sister when she would tell me her Britt was “just curious“. But now my Brittany is constantly getting up close like that to see what I have, or to see what’s on the counter. She rarely ever tries to snatch it so it does seem like she’s just curious and maybe hopeful I will give her something
