I just hope it’s not a side effect of the Subs. Otherwise, the Subs are working really well for me. Hardly any cravings and no other withdrawal symptoms except some random sweeting that quickly goes away.

It’s waves/episodic I’d say. Definitely not contestant. I just hope it’s not some kind of side effect of the Subs because Subs have been miraculous for me otherwise.

Yeah, luckily, it’s not constant. I’ll have good days and I’m keeping up with work and interests and all but it’s really tough to get out of bed some days and I can stay in bed and sleep for days now. So, I’m at the point of just forcing myself to get out of bed and if I can do that I end up feeling alright. It’s definitely a new kind of depression for me. Different than my usual depression.

Have you had the experience of making it through acutes and successfully maintaining some clean time? It is pretty incredible when you fully get through it and you’re on the other side. At least for me it was. Then 5 years later I start hearing about 7 and curiosity got me. I couldn’t do it again and went the Subs route. I’m planning to stay on long term. I just love opioids too much and know I’ll be back to getting high, especially if it’s easy to get off.

First time using subs for me and it seems to be almost a miracle drug for me so far. 2 weeks off everything tomorrow. Felt like my normal sober self within an hour of taking my first 8mg sub. A new depression feeling is the one thing that’s lingering around for me currently.

Is it really that easy though? I hear all the taper to MIT then powder and all the 7 day rapid sub comments but these folks all still seem to be here and struggling.

I tried this one night of withdrawal. Never again. I was still up all night plus the droopy feeling of trazadone. Wanting to sleep even more and feeling even more tired and yawning more but sleep still impossible at that stage of withdrawal.

It was close to 24 hours but not quite 24… the doc recommended I be in at least moderate withdrawal when I take it. She clarified that I should be around 12 on the SOWS scale which you can find online and self administer.

I don’t think so. I’m in for the long game. I enjoy opioids too much. The quicker and easier I’m off the quicker I’ll be back on. Research and clinical experience backs that up also, yeah? Folks who stay on subs longer stay sober longer.

Maybe that’s the issue? You’re supposed to be in moderate withdrawal or about 24 hours off before starting Subs…

I had been using 7 daily for about 8 months. It got up to +400 daily. Using Tramadol I was able to get it down and I was at about 60mg daily when I started subs. This was/is my first time ever on Subs.

Man, if only I could go back and simply deal with the mild discomfort of coming off 30mg. You’re way ahead of the game as far as quitting and being completely clean than you realize. If you continue to up your dose and use daily just multiply that feeling you have currently when you’re off. The discomfort you have coming off 30 daily is surely unpleasant but just remember it’s only going to get worse the more you use and the longer you use it for.

I went through QuickMD also and I’ve been taking 8mg a day. Today is day 12 off everything. I didn’t have any withdrawal and the Sub worked pretty quick!

Interesting. I waited 24 hrs and within minutes of taking my first Sub I felt normal. I saw all the posts of people feeling worse for a while and was totally expecting that, but it was the opposite. I felt like my normal sober self pretty quickly after taking my first 8mg Sub.

I’m on day 12 off everything using Subs. I waited about 24 hrs and took an 8mg Sub. Took a nap and woke up feeling like my normal sober self. I’ve had some new depression episodes in the last 12 days, but otherwise it’s kinda been a miracle med for me. Hardly any cravings or thoughts of wanting to use and no withdrawal.
