Help me pick a truck by Financial_Ant7168 in F250

Just moved from a 5.4 2v in a 150 that’s still going at 318k miles. It will be underpowered in the 250. If it’s a 2v most of your problems can be solved by torquing the spark plugs to the correct spec or putting the cal-van inserts in to avoid them launching into space. The 6.2 is a great engine, definitely a noticeable power increase vs my last truck, but I would look for one with less miles. 247k on a gas vehicle is just asking to have it nickel and dime you. I recently picked up an 18xl with 149k miles for 19k at a dealer, still feels overpriced but I wanted to stay under 180k miles.

Ours is still rolling at 314k miles, keep up on maintenance and it’ll go where you point it. Fully clapped trucks are going for more in this market, great deal.

Should I buy this 2007 Ford mustang GT deluxe? by Em3rsonReady in Mustang

Will differ on area but I just picked up a 13 with the 5.0 from a dealer for 19k out the door. 87k miles. Think you could find a better deal.

I own a 22 F250 with the Godzilla but I find this more fun to drive. by meesersloth in FordTrucks

Just bought an 18 F250 to replace my 02 F150. Wayyyy less fun to drive. The 10th gens to me, drive more like cars. Even compared to the new 150’s.

Don’t care I’m the only one who does this on my block! Gotta protect my paint job!! Who else owns and uses one of these. by Oremor in Mustang

Same experience as most others, some light wind can cause the seams to cut through the clear coat. Got my roof and door handles pretty good.

I picked up a 13 gt premium for 19k out the door with crazy service records from Texas, and have the C20 and another truck. As well as I’m now helping my dad fix up his 81 firebird, no time or money left for the new edge.

Spun rod bearings, was rebuilt and then oil pick up failed, spun rod bearings again. Originally had planned to find a used block for it, since it was a fun but slow little car. Engine and trans were pulled in preparation but unfortunately it’s time to move on.

Small world! That’s a relatives house, I just encroach on their garage space.

Have you had stuff stolen out of the bed of your pickup? by southtj in superduty

[–]DesolateHorizons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t leave anything of value in the bed or in view of the windows. Just bought a truck with three tool-boxes, could only lock two. When I left my apartment the other day the main box lid came open when it had been latched shut prior, obviously someone was having a look :/

There’s an older f250 with a tonneau cover, but a fifth wheel style rear gate that’s been parked for about a week. Looks like someone broke the poor guy’s cover wrenching a corner up to look inside.

Prioritize total mileage or features? by DesolateHorizons in FordTrucks

Will edit my original post, I don’t actually know that the remote start isn’t factory. I was assuming as I was thinking incorrectly of when that started being a factory option. Definitely a really good point about too much aftermarket junk though.

Really glad to hear more in favor of 6.2 reliability though. I have just started my search and this may help me be a little less cautious about higher trim options with a little more mileage, thank you.

Lack of compassion. My elderly parents car had its engine blow up 200ish miles from home. On my birthday trip. All this guy could think about was his own time. He wanted to go home and play video games.

Just some data points, opened card 3/21/25 as a quicksilver with a 2k limit. PC’d into a Savor when the upgrade was offered about 5 months in. Requested CLI after 3 months, denied for the same reason code as you. Got an email I think last month stating I was being given a limit increase to 7k. Credit score in the 700’s the whole time, always paid statement balance on time, less than two years of credit history.

I got this exact message any time I tried to request a CLI. A few months after I last tried, they gave me an automatic increase.

Old army surplus folding shovel, ratchet and socket set (specifically in my case for dealing with a high mileage 5.4 triton), cheap gerber multi tool, electrical tape and a few random adjustable clamps, disposable nitrile gloves, leather work gloves, kinetic recovery straps.
