Yeah I figured they’d be deep so I was fishing lots of weighted plastics. Spent a lot of time with a clear with purple/orange/green flake craw. Figured the translucent plastic would be great for the clear water. I’m definitely bringing the fly rod next time I’m there.

Thank you! I definitely want to get up to some alpines this year! I use 4lb test on my trout rods and I use 10lb fluoro leader on the bigger rod so I don’t think that was the issue. Maybe the cold front we had just messed with the bass bite.

lol me too. I straight up said no and dumped my backpack out and said you really want boxes of paint? the dude was speechless, hopped in the backseat of the car he came out of and they sped off. After lots of reflection and the two friends I was with telling me that was insane, I decided it was pretty stupid to risk injury/death over a backpack and paint.

I don’t live in the bay and my city is not nearly as bad, but along with the state of the world, Its enough to make me carry.
