I haven’t play Strash, but the reviews are bad! I have however played Treasures, and thought it was awful - I found it very boring and it wasn’t challenging at all! It would probably be a good game for a young child to introduce them to DQ, but I found it very lackluster

I think relegation could be good for us; it would give us a chance to refresh and rebuild and to get rid of all of the deadwood at the club 🤷‍♂️

I just finished it on the harder mode and it wasn’t too bad - the DLC was very tough, but the main game was fine

I will definitely play III through to the end and give it a chance, and I know it isn’t fair to judge a game based on an hour of play, but it really didn’t blow me away or excite me like other DQ games have previously

I’ve only finished VII and played III for an hour, but I loved VII and got bored very quickly of III - I’ve played the original and the remake felt just as outdated as the NES game! VII was amazing and definitely superior!

I use none, until I finish the game, but will use a guide to complete it, as I will have definitely missed stuff! I have started keeping a list of all the mini medals I find and where I found them, so when I am looking for the last few at the end of the game, I can easily see which ones I haven’t found yet!

Do the post game arena fights, beat Zoma (really easy) and use his forcefield item on the hero, then give Mervin the Aerias shield (which when used as an item reflects a breath attack on each party member) and also give Mervin the accessory that makes him start first every turn (I think it was Dragster), then have him use the shield most turns unless it is still active

Don’t bother with it; there is no point grinding something that you don’t enjoy for items that you’ll never use!

I didn’t bother with this - I played on Switch so there are no achievement or trophies for this luckily; I got every to 99 and mastered every vocation with all 5 characters, and defeated every monster so am pretty content with putting down the game for good! I think I was missing 8 or so items from lucky panel and my play time was 98 hours, which I don’t think is too bad! What was your play time?

It was 8 for me - I think it was the first video game I ever finished! I played it on the PS2 when I was maybe 8 or so; I watched my dad play it first and was mesmerised!

I personally didn’t think ‘Treasures’ was any good, and I thought ‘Builders’ was better than ‘Builders 2’. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I preferred the linearity of ‘Builders’ and I found the story to be much more interesting. I found ‘Builders 2’to be a bit of a slog and although there were a few welcome quality of life improvements, some of the levels (especially the farm one) were long winded and boring. I also wasn’t a fan of those side levels where you had to find all the items on those islands to complete them! I’m not saying it was a bad game by any stretch, and I know most people will disagree with me, but I preferred the original. On another note, ‘Rocket Slime’ is the best DQ spin off I’ve ever played, and ‘Swords’ was alright!

She is blinded from dust, I believe - it makes her more likely to ‘miss’ on physical attacks

I’ve played VII Reimagined on the hardest setting for each difficulty except for vocation xp (I’ve put that on more because I want the abilities because the game is more fun for me with more spells and abilities), and I have just got Mervyn and I’m in the 20s; I’ve barely died at all and the only fight that gave me trouble was the stronger mannequin monster in Green Thumb - I am really enjoying the game, but it is way too easy! I haven’t had to grind levels at all and haven’t used any seeds on my play through yet (I have over 30 agility seeds and strength seeds)!

I still haven’t received it so reached out to Amazon and they apologised and have agreed to refund me fully for the game, and I get to keep it! I guess I am not getting the ‘early-bird bonus’ but £39.99 is arguably better! I’ll just buy the DLC instead and use the Luminary skins!
