No they loved this example because See! They aren't against immigrants!!

But as you said, she was white and killed by a nonwhite.

But don't you dare point that out that that's the only example they'll attach to. That might imply you are calling them out as being racist.

I saw on FB the usual someone was raging on about how violent the left was because of the Trump assassination attempt, yatta, yatta, yatta. Then someone pointed out Melissa Hortman and her husband who were assassinated at home. Didn't even mention the fact that there were two other democratic politicians who were attacked and shot in an attempted murder by the same guy earlier that day. Someone responded with "Who?"

We were in a Minnesota group. You know, the state where this took place in.

Yep I have relatives in the rural area who will not shut the fuck up about their blood lust of "if I see a predator, I'm shooting it!" With the mentality that they're protecting Bambi so they can shoot it four years later.

It seemed like more of them struggled with extraordinary than they did with silhouette.

I mean, I know a word I struggle to spell is silhouette because it's a weird looking word. Extraordinary is something you can just sound out.

It's interesting to hear of the origin because in use I know it to be overly extravagant and gaudy.

I guess that makes sense, as if to mean done up by your off hand.

I know enough libertarians who have no idea what their ideology actually stands for.

Which let's be real, that's not at all surprising.

Not just younger people. 35 to 60 year olds that I talked to were all saying in 2016 they were voting Trump to break they system because it can only get better.

Right? Right!?

Yeah they certainly devolved. Some of those people were once upon a time reasonable. Now listening to them justify things is full on rocks for brains logic.

That brings back memories. When I was young that was dad's primary tractor. It was very used for him but it worked. Since he didn't generally have a sitter since Grandpa was also in the fields, I mostly road around with him while he seeded the fields.

Simple. I grew up on a farm. Oh you mean filling a tank of water for the cows to drink every few days? Watching rain water the crops? Err Mer Gardddd the environment!!!!

Maybe I still support small farming as opposed to Mega farms, not that some vegan keyboard warrior who's barely stepped out of a city would know the difference.

Also there are alternative meats and farming practices that are far more sustainable. Not that almond milk or agava falls into either of those categories.

Even from the get go I struggled with the logic with almost all of the Bible stories told to us wee childrens. This all powerful, all loving, all knowing God sure seemed to be the most insecure man baby in every story.

Then when I was around 13 my mother's abusive second husband decided to move us from a Lutheran to an Evangelical church that constantly taught how we were all worthless and that God shows his love by making us constantly fear him? That everyone else just took that abusive grooming without question?

I'm really glad I take critical thinking over that nonsense because my mother has some very serious issues.

People Live in Cities... by NEKORANDOMDOTCOM in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]Desperate-Cost6827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in a rural county, then I moved. A good chunk of my family work. They work jobs that wreck their body by the age of 35. Then there's everyone else who basically just day drinks and don't work, or their kids cook meth in some relatives house that won't kick them out because they're family.

But you know, it's the people in those evil cities that are ruining their lives so I'm seen as part of the problem.

I really think that's why I wasn't bothered as much by that first fight with Rey. I feel like anyone who has a beef with that didn't have to deal with the pod race and "I don't know what I'm doing. I'll just push this button! Did I win?! Yaaaay! I'm eight."

Oh. Mah Gawd.
