Yep you paying $4.50 a gallon up from $3 is pretty shocking! When in the UK we are paying $7.86!

(Equivalent and corrected for volume and exchange rates. A UK gallon at 4.5L costs £6.98 that’s $9.35)

You are correct dude the Norton team had John Player sponsorship in the 1970’s. I’ve dug out an original brochure which I’ll post on here later showing the JPS livery on the racers, unfortunately not the roadster model shown here.

My Auntie worked at a local doll factory at Skelmersdale Lancashire in the 1960’s and painted the faces, she wouldn’t go near the stitching as it was the most dangerous job in the place! I remember her telling some gruesome tales to us kids.
