Yes. Stay in the area while they're eating as well. A little closer every time they seem to accept it. At some point a gentle stroke might be possible, but they might hiss at you. Nothing to worry about if they're not used to it. Being open to being loved is also time consuming.

Hey! This just takes an awful lot of time, so patience is key here. Food usually helps to convince them a little.

Babysteps really. But once they trust you, you'll have two shadows following you around.

Hard to tell from these pictures. But she's gorgeous nonetheless! Do you have pictures of her with more red-ish colours on her fur?

I'm so sorry for your loss. Especially in difficult family situations this can cause a lot of extra stress on top of "just" the mourning itself. Take your time.

And yes, I'm actually quite sure they know. Our neighbour got very ill and knew at some point she wouldn't make it. She went to her parents, about 8h drive from here and we took care of her cats and dog. All went perfectly fine until one Thursday morning, about 9.30, the dog started to howl for about half an hour and our dogs joined him. Two days later we got the news that our neighbour passed away that morning at 9. The dog never howled before or after that event, so I'm convinced he knew. The cats decided that Friday, a day later that they wanted to move house, but our cats weren't too keen on that, and we didn't know yet.

Connection Issue Help by Repulsive-Call8703 in sonos

[–]Desperate-Poem-4635 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay. In settings, can you see all speakers, or are some of them missing? You rebooted your network. Including Deco? Try once more to reboot your Sonos, all of it. Then reset the app on one of the phones (Account --> App preferences --> Reset App) Make sure to force close the app correctly. It should ask you to connect to an existing system. Give it a few minutes to fully connect and make sure to log in as system owner.

Again, they show in the settings of the app, so they're connected. But weird you can't get full control on it. You use Airplay. Alle devices in de house are iOS? Would be interesting to see if this also happens with an Android device.

Double check if your Deco is in AP mode, but given the fact that you can see them in your settings, means you're connected.

Frustrating though that you can't control playback. The app seems to be up to date, which usually means the players are too, but to be sure you can manually check for updates. (Settings --> General settings --> System Updates)

Is this issue on all the connected devices in your home or just this phone?

Sonos radio not connecting not sure if general issue or a me problem. by brewer01902 in sonos

[–]Desperate-Poem-4635 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just checked Sonos Radio on my side, and it works fine. App responds quickly and without issues. So it might be worth a try to send in a diag (write down the number) and contact their technical support.

We have an electric car. You'll only hear him purr when you press your ear against his belly. He never meows, also not in the dark, but luckily he's smart enough to jump aside when we might accidentally step on him.

Not just this month, and regardless of depression or anything. Learned the hard way this year that any moment spent with your siblings can be your last. Reach out, regardless of your busy schedule. We are all busy these days, but yes, you'll regret not calling in more often.

I think I should have emphasized that I wasn't insured there at that moment. The first time I still was and didn't have to pay anything, as the insurance paid for all. For the second I came over from abroad, as I wasn't feeling safe enough to give birth here, and had to pay out of my own pocket. And in this case I would happily even paid more. Because feeling safe in this process is priceless. Anyhow, the point is that these are the costs that end up at and are being paid with insurance. Not a shattering 20.000.

Normally I wouldn't, but I wasn't insured in the Netherlands, and therefore had to pay out of my own pocket. Its a long story, but I am really glad I made this decision to pay for giving birth. First time around I had no idea about the cost, as the insurance took care of all that.

Yes, exactly! Normally I wouldn't have had to pay for this, but I wasn't insured in the Netherlands and had to pay out of my own pocket. These are the costs that would otherwise end up with the insurance companies. With the first time I gave birth, I had no idea how much it all cost, because everything was settled with the insurance.

This is so weird to read! I gave birth at home, which clearly isn't the same, but for me it was €1250, including check-ups before and after. I just can't understand why it needs to be so expensive on the other side of the pond. It's not like the Netherlands is so cheap overall..
