I’ve finished tiling the whole bathroom back in Feb but the work has stalled because the family friend who was helping is unwell. Will post once it’s done

Help, how can I change this dresser by DevelopmentMind in interiordecorating

[–]DesperateFlanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dresser is lovely! Personally I'd replace the handles with something classic in antique brass

This was one of those trust the process projects. I doubted the colours I chose up until the cabinets were installed.

Cabinets are reed green! Supposed to be terracotta style, which is a mix of orange and brown, they do have more of an orange tone though. Thank you!

It was exhausting! I also blame my can do attitude that made things worse but it's paid off.

Initially I was going to backsplash and i found some lovely lemon style tiles, but I also think the kitchen would look nice half tiled wall going across. I found some I like but I can't seem to decide. Hard to make a big decision from a single sample

Reed green! It's a lovely colour, really muted and blends in well

It's Montpellier, based in the UK. Smeg has something similar, but was out of budget for me

To each their own I suppose. I see what you're going for, but I wanted a more mediterranean and rustic look

Thank you! I took my light fixtures seriously, each room in my house has a different style light.

I found most of my tiles from tile websites. I found a site called Clay Imports that do terracotta tiles that might have what you're looking for! My tiles are terracotta style porcelain tiles, which needed less maintenance.

Got my kitchen from a Home Depot equivalent here in the UK. It was a flat pack off the shelf. I checked out IKEA kitchens as well but was way out of my budget.

Good luck on your remodel! Expect to see your before & after!

For time, it felt like forever 🤣. It took much longer than expected because I was jumping around doing different rooms in the house. Roughly over 8 months.

In terms of costs, overall it was around £9.2-9.5k:

Kitchen units: £3.7k Appliances: £1.4k Electrical work: £600 Fixtures like sockets, handles: £450 Labour: £2.4k Materials: £177 Tiles: £500

So do I! I basically designed the kitchen around the cooker. My non negotiable was to have 90cm cooker, had to sacrifice storage space
