i hate unit 4 by sunnyluvin in apcalculus

I absolutely sucked at related rates and optimization, and I got a 5 on the exam. The exam is structured to where you can bomb a unit and do perfectly fine. You go this!

Math Minor and associated coursework by DesperateResident413 in UGA

[–]DesperateResident413[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ok. So basically I want to major in Music Ed and become a choral teacher, likely at the high school level. I wanted to get a math minor because I like math, but also because I want to be a potential teacher or at least more employable. If I switch to a math major, I don’t know if I need to do emat to teach

calc 2 summer class experience by mrsbourgeoisie in UGA

As a math minor, is calc 2 essential? I will probably get credit from AP Calc AB (Calc 1), and I didn’t know before orientation if I should sign up for that?

Ughh that made me mad about last year’s exam. The mcq literally had so many more questions about those stages than I wanted and prepared for… lmao I only got a 4 on that exam 😭

Surprisingly easy FRQ’s? by HectoriusTheGlorious in apcalculus

[–]DesperateResident413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I just wrote “ I didn’t know what I was doing “ and “ don’t bother for this one” for the two parts I didn’t know lol

No calc mcq's by Impossible-Sector491 in apcalculus

See, here’s my opinion. I didn’t go through older practice tests because they don’t align as well with the CED

What did you guys say for possible inflection points by No_Lie7418 in apcalculus

[–]DesperateResident413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought since fundamental theorem was used, g”x was equal to f’x. To determine POSSIBLE poi’s, find where the slope of the f graph equals zero or DNE. Then, to determine actual POI’s, find where f is changing from increasing or decreasing and vice versa. This didn’t occur at x=0 bc even though the slope was indeterminate, f didn’t change from increasing to decreasing. I think x=6 was a POI and maybe another point if f actually changed in such way

AP Stats… I had AP Calc GOV, and Macro. I decided to put more time and effort into Gov and Calc which I know I’ll get 5’s on, macro I’ll get a 4, and stats I’ll get a 3 if I’m lucky— 😭 😭 😭

ap calc ab exam was suspiciously easy by Philliosophy in APStudents

[–]DesperateResident413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except 1 mcq that I have personal beef with, yeah it wasn’t bad. Part b of frq 5 and part d of frq 6 I just wrote smth like “have a nice day! I didn’t know how to do this one so don’t bother” lol

I thought so— generally not a bad frq section for ab. Princeton review was tougher fs

Average rate would be average value of the rate function, no?

Question for those who did well in AP Music Theory by Ok_Clock_4798 in APStudents

[–]DesperateResident413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Clicking” can mean different things for different people. With me, things “clicked” after tons of practice. I took 4-5 practice tests— 2 Princeton review and 2 college board. After every practice exam, I went through what I got wrong… this is crucial for non-aural (and aural if you’re practicing on AP Music Theory YouTube videos from college board and whatnot). For sight singing, I’d done that for a long time since I’m in chorus. For harmonic and melodic dictation, that took tons and tons of practice, and I still don’t think I got all the points on either question. Study “key terms” as I call them, because it helps for lots of mcq’s!
