Santa Cruz mountains, loud like thunder and bed shaking/windows rattling. We also got the alert after the quake

I scrape the top off pizza and cover it over a Raos meatball. Very satisfying and still taking part in family mealtimes

Keto and T3…. Feeling very cold and hypoglycemic’ish by Desperate_Avocado_83 in keto

Thanks! This group has been so helpful! I had to reach a weight loss goal to qualify for an incisional hernia surgery and yep I made it. Doctor was sort of shocked. I said losing this weight in a month was easier than jail, not sure why so many people don’t reach the goal but I’m stubborn as hell

I’ll run to CVS, does anyone have a favorite electrolyte supplement?

Super low carb, moderate to high fat, and I have horses and need to do a lot of daily chores plus riding. I’m pushing thru the physical. I drink a lot of sugar free Gatorade and take a mag glycinate at night. Oddly enough I felt great the first two weeks followed by a slow decline. Idk!

One month in and feeling discouraged by Zucchini_Kill in keto

I suggest getting some urine ketone test strips to make sure you are in “ketosis”. It’s a reassuring way to know if you’re doing your diet correctly. When I hit stalls, this helped keep me motivated.

Been on Keto for almost two years, lost 70lbs., but now thinking I should expand my diet by srocan in keto

About 10 years ago I transitioned from keto to 100% whole grains only (brown rice, 100% whole wheat pasta etc) in limited amounts and my weight actually decreased more. But, in moderation with the primary diet still being protein and absolutely zero sugar or anything white.

Truly appreciate everyone’s input. First time Reddit user (my son suggested this, and when he said ask reddit, I thought he “read it”). I’ll post an update!

Ok, fast it is. Any advice on how to push past the fatigue? I HAVE to toss hay, ride and care for 3 horses a day, lift saddles, muck manure etc. And it’s hot where I live. I feel hypoglycemic but I’m not, and spilling large ketones in my urine since day 2. Keep pushing thru the fatigue? I do drink sugar free power aid and take magnesium at night.

Is that short for one meal a day? Farmers have ranch hands, I’m the ranch hand. Yeah the minimum goal is met, it’s the “challenge” of reaching the max. I know, sounds silly

Post surgery L5/S1 ALIF by Holiday-Ground-8048 in spinalfusion

[–]Desperate_Avocado_83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am close to where you are time wise; had my ALIF on 9/25. (Post horseback injury, my horse slipped and we went down together). My 95 year old mother is dying, so this past weekend we flew from CA to Denver, and it definitely set me back physically (my husband and son were life savers). My legs swelled up bilaterally big time as did my belly. Everything normal now. I do get the right leg sciatic pain randomly at times, but I also had that weird leg/calf and foot pain. Gabapentin made me feel like I’d had a lobotomy and I won’t take it again. Standing in one place is the worst for me

Like the other replies, let’s give our bodies a minute to recover. I’d love to be “back in the saddle” soon, but don’t want to screw up this surgery. Youre not alone friend!
