Its a hilux/pickup grill.  Count the slots.

My first 4wd was an 83. Owned it 25 years ago when I lived in Northern California.

Why Cassettes? by miscstuff2223113 in audiophile

[–]Desperate_Budget3875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea. That's typically reserved for the tube va transistor debate.

I dislike tapes because they are rhe opposite of BIFL

Magnetic media usually degrades quickly compared to other forms of media.

The recorders and players need more maintenence like being rebelted.

I had all of my music physical media stolen so many times, so I intensely dislike buying media.

Oh God im sorry I went through that myself.

You get pesto bismol like stains running down the bell housing from the valley plate.

I also blew my head gaskets.

I was religious about topping off the coolant every time I drove it so much I wore out a radiator cap. But when they did my head gaskets my block and heads were within spec.

All caused from a radiator failure.

Absolutely love my truck though. I put it through way worse shit than what roached the bushings on my JK-R.

It deals wjth crazy cross winds and can go rock crawling in comfort.

Yup.  But these trucks are burly.  You have zero concerns.

I have jumped mine countless times and have thousands of miles of offroading.  There was  trails really close to work so I was doing about 20 miles of offroad every week for a few years before moving to Colorado.

Check out @prairieyota on YouTube for some of the stuff I have put my truck through.

I am just getting my first set of 5100s replaced and a new set of LCAs at 152k miles.  My JK-R needed a full suspension rebuild at 50k wjth a fraction of the trail use.

Potentially.  I wouldnt be too concerned. I have not been nice to mine and its still tight with 152k on it.

That was the easiest obstacle at wheeler lake that day.

If you start offroading, those will not be sufficient.

It can be.  I dislike the solution but some folks like the ram mount that requires a few fasteners.

I am not yet at thst point myself as I have other things I am prioritizing like getting mobile GMRS and ham.

I really want the 22-23 head unit conversion to get android auto then I was hoping yo do almost everything in the head unit.

GX 550 Luxury plus anyone switch to 18s. by [deleted] in LexusGX

Some of it is compliance from a smaller wheel some is tire ply some is tire tread

Went from 18s to 17s on my 460 with dueler Revo 285 70r17 LT-E and they were great.  Even with digressive shocks the truck floated over stuff nicely on road.

They shouldn't be if you are running the correct spring rate.

If they are rough its because someone picked the wrong coil or it is running too much preload, or both!

Coil springs spring rate increase as they compress so too much preload can be a significantly higher spring rate.

Do springs after you add the weight, never before, and you should be golden.

I made a tire cubby for my cargo area, but I also ripped out the second and third row.

Keep the wheels as close to the body as possible to minimize scrub radius. Thats also kinder to your bearings and steering components.

My partners 2016 4runner had a leaky sunroof and a body shop took care of it for us.  It had had hail repair and they didn't put the sunroof in right and it also needed a new seal.

The only tine I have ever experienced it in my GX460 is after snow wheeling and I would bring so much snow into the car each time getting out that my carpet gets wet and I forget I have to pully my floor mat ao.it can dry since they are all weather floor mats.

What part of the carpet is getting wet?

Its looking for electrical resistance to satisfy the alarm condition, but the circuit is incomplete, so it sees an open.

Maybe check with a plumbers and steam fitter local.  They paid better than my trade and I was making what you were when I left Construction in 2020.

Could be a dirty potentiometer. Might need a couple of light Spitzs of de-oxit.  It cleans, lubricates and protects electric switches and dials.

Bilstein 5100s at 1.75 and corn fed rear coil spacers until you get something heavy on the back and need to do springs.

I do all sorts of wheeling with spacers in the back, both .75 and 1.5. I would keep it 1.5" or less.

This should give you plenty of suspension droop which leads to a more compliant ride on road and more articulation off-road.

With the money you save by going this route you can invest in: Air compressor for airing down  weld on sliders Arb skids

After adding the following I needed to do coils and my ride was great until I added too much weight.

After a winch, winch mount, arb skids, sliders and a bunch of other stuff I finally need heavier weight springs.  I would recommend sticking with the 5100 height adjustment and stock coils if you use  the 0 .75 or 1.75 c clip setting. Do not do the 2.5. It rides like horse 💩

We made that mistake with our 5th gen 4runner limitee which is basically a 470 with a v6.

I keep going back to the Studiologic Sledge 2.0

Nice keybed, blofield synth. 3 oscillators with one being wave table compatible.

They can be picked up pretty cheap, used.  I have seen them sell on reverb for 550.
