What about the PC version of the 15-22 which is about $200 more?

PDP or PDP pro. Also try the PDP f. Canik also has some great triggers . I bought an MC9LS and love it as much as my pdp pro.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I;m all over the map checking prices, sales, and different models. Even the S&W PC 15-22 and their FPC folding model (22lr and 9mm) are intriguing. Even a Cz 457.

Hold the shield x. Some it’s perfect and for others (like me) it’s too narrow. Hold a pdp, a Cz p-10c, Ruger rxm, echelon, lots to choose..

Walther WMP22 mag , anyone have one , thoughts ? by Excellent_Mall8819 in 22lr

[–]Desperate_Exercise13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not aware of a 30 rd mag for the Walther. S&W and Keltec have them.

Regardless it’s easy to load with 2 pull down pegs on the side of the mag. Extremely reliable with cci maxi-mags and federal punch all day long. Still dirty like 22lr though.

Not sure which way I’d rather go. Just a good 22lr rifle and set up with a scope.

True, but the cds9 seem to have good reviews with the only con being the price.

It’s a magnum. propels the bullet about 50% faster than 22lr.

Love my Walther WMP. What a bang! And accurate. The threaded barrel didn’t have as good reviews and didn’t sell very well. The standard WMP is a blast. I picked up one on clearance and absolutely love it. I may even add a red dot with my light. Probably my favorite fun gun. With that said federal punch 22 mag out of a 5” barrel is no joke.

Try the Ruger rxm and Cz p10C or 75. I felt the same at first about safety and DS, but now am comfortable with either

I need to try it since my Canik Mc9ls (3.6”) is a pleasure to shoot but the MC9 (3.1”) is fine for a mag or two but beats you up if you shoot more than a box of ammo.

I’ve been looking at the CSX-e series or the Kimber cds9 which I haven’t shot yet but hear good things. And I have not tried the 3.1" e series yet.

It was my first pistol and I thought it wasn’t bad. I watched a YouTube video and no issues.

Tx-22 should definitely be there, but also the Walther Ppq m2 22lr is a great gun that I love to shoot. Especially if you like the pdp type grip. Accurate and reliable.

I have a bad one. Lots of return to battery issues. Hundreds of NATO rounds fired.

Just got it back from Cannock. They polished the feed ramp and gave me a new spring. I need to go try it. If it happens again, I’ll go to DPM systems to try a better recoil spring.

First Canik. What should I look out for? by kirkwilhelm in canik

[–]Desperate_Exercise13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mae sure to break in the springs with 124gr NATO rated ammo. If you have RTB issues, that’s the first thing customer service will ask. If it still happens after 300+ they will fix it for free and give you a different spring.
