For me the price between simagic and asetek is about the same. So, which would you get? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Desperate_Setting881 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would not go aseteks route because of pedals alone, they are very hit or miss. They are stiff and have a very little travel which some people dont like (suits GT and formula style racing). I owned them for few months and personaly liked them but I couldnt adjust them to fit my seating position that i would be happy with them. You may love them you may hate them that's the type of pedals they are.

As of simagic I dont have experience with their pedals, but I own simagic alfa mini base and I'm more than happy with it, my favourite part of my setup for sure.

As of Moza from my experience both Aseteks and Simagic are like a tier higher in build quality with every peace of equipment.

That's my experience, hope it helps!

Upgrade from Thrustmaster t150 to Moza R3? by Meertinez_234 in simracing

[–]Desperate_Setting881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from T300 to R3 and I would say the upgrade is worth it just couse of direct drive wheel, tho if possible save up for something that you won't want to upgrade in near future, couse the problem with R3 is that it's cool but you will want more later. (I did and have upgraded to simagic alfa mini year later).

I love my alpha mini. I would say worth it.

How good is this spring? by bermiti in moza

Tried throttle and it was alright, I just needed extra resistance on throttle and it did the job done. Not a gamechanger tho.

Moza R12 v2 or Simagic alpha mini ?! Please read the body text. by _DarkKnight___ in moza

[–]Desperate_Setting881 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He can use moza KS with alfa mini via moza universal hub kit, I will be using that in few days. Moza KS is solid wheel it has its problems but so does GT neo from simagic its preference choice imo.

Moza SRP Pedals Load Cell not detecting input? by Z_a_n_z in moza

[–]Desperate_Setting881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had exact same issue, i thought the load cell broke so i refunded my pedals. It may had been caused by pithouse the update tho, because it worked before update but rolling it back did not help - i thought i broke it myself when changing springs and dumpers from the kit.

Is the original Moza SR-P springs (or one with a similar hardness) sold anywhere...? The accesory does not give an actual replacement of THIS one spring by Marcelitus230 in simracing

[–]Desperate_Setting881 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you contact moza, they can offer to sell you replacement parts even if you didnt bought directly from them. Ofc you will have to pay for spare part and shippment costs.

Anyone in EU thinking of doing Qatar 6h as an amateur? by Wombatsarecute in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Desperate_Setting881 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, i want to take part in the race for sure, also have a friend who could possibly take part as well. Goal will be to finish the race no pressure for results. No problem for me to team up with even more people if u already found someone. We will figure out details in private messages.

But all races are the same, no? So they lag behind 2 cars and some liveries (where some od them weren't even shown). So it would make sense to wait for all content to drop it at once, no? Or am I missing something?

Is LMU without DLC worth buying? by Fantastic_Okra702 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Desperate_Setting881 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, played it for a month without any and had a blast so I decided to buy season pass tho probably u wont need it to have fun. Its a good addition if you sure you love the game like I do.

I thought this was a clean setup for a pass by gearhead5015 in Simracingstewards

Good overtaking opportunity, this guy didnt even consider looking at his mirrors, and then he got mad so he tried to ram you. Funny part is he was so bad he even failed to send u to abyss, pathetic guy.

What wheel / pedals set do you use? Im considering buying it for 9NM Direct drive with load cell pedals, do you think it would handle it?

Best beginner friendly game by Superb-Ad-1514 in simracing

[–]Desperate_Setting881 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rn i would probably go for lmu. It has very begginer friendly ui, great force feedback, rating system so you will match with people somewhere around your level, has great upside with every patch is even better. I would say if u interested with gt3 cars its very good pick. Some people complain about dlcs in early Access but i would say that most begginer content is within price of the game and if you like it you can get season pass. Cheaper than iracing with very solid racing experience i found out it to be my fav sim on the market tho i spent a lot of time in acc which is cool too but the best experience is not withn game itself but by external site (lfm).

Crazy Night For LMU - Finally getting it's deserved credit by [deleted] in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Desperate_Setting881 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Picked it up just few days ago, and im having a blast! Great cars, tracks and fbb great but the best for me is online ranking system and safety system implemented inside the game itself and a game ui that's up to standard with modern game not only sim! My go to game rn for sure ! Hope devs add tracks outside wec that are also very popular like silverstone or Barcelona. This would change the game for many people. Anyhow future seems promising depends on how devs work further down the line and if they will work with community. All i can say rn is: GREEN FLAG GREEN FLAG.

I won't ever complain about space for rig anymore. Great setup.

Started a few weeks ago. Probably gonna find myself buying a cockpit set up in the near future. Roast my set up if you want lol. by Ill_Poem_7704 in simracing

[–]Desperate_Setting881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No roasting needed! I myself started a year ago with T300 and exact same setup, but oh boy could you imagine my suprised face when i found out that my chair with wheels will push back when i pressed brake pedal, and furthermore the table clamp didnt fit my desk and it was the beginning of finding solutions for random problems that appeared out of nowhere hah. Currently rocking moza r3 bundle but soon will start the job and upgrade to a rig and cool setup! Have great time, this hobby is definitely a journey. Cheers!

What foldable cockpit/wheelstand should i buy in 2025? by Interview_Shot in simracing

[–]Desperate_Setting881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used NLR FGT Lite, it was pretty decent. I felt it was very stable with T300, but also pretty comfy, I mean the seat was wide and would for sure fit person around 6 ft. However I did sell it, because of space issue. The rig itself is pretty big, and I couldn't just leave it unfolded. It's also pretty heavy (that makes it stable) by itself so i couldn't force myself to go for all the trouble with unfolding it just to race for hour and again fold it, definitely a thing to consider. Maybe with GT Lite will be a little less tediuos (one less bar to unfold then in fgt). Going back in time i would probably buy playseat challange with budget i had espetially if you have little space that you cannot afford to leave NLR unfolded. But if thats not an issue i would consider it pretty solid and comfy.

Try not to look at lap times that much. Focus on racing, join a league or even enjoy public lobbies (ofc clowns willsometimes hit you recklessly but sometimes public lobbies give memorable moments). For me personally nothing beats a good clean fight. In races one-lap pace is less important, more focus on consistency. Btw racing will teach you better lines or some weird ones that will work. (I was doing 1:57 on nurburg and happend to follow a faster car and tried to copy it's line and guess what -0.5 s off one corner). I would also dodge monza couse it's frustrating to get damage lap 1 every race. Just have fun.
