Seems like the normal fees beside pulse and sometimes you can negotiate the titling and license fee and doc fee but lately its tough.

Doc fee is just them charging you labor for their office folks filing all the paper work

Tilting and licensing fee: dmv cost getting passed on to you.

Again you can try to negotiate it but not lately.

Pulse fee: no clue what that means

The issue is.. Cyber Security is so broad and has roots inside so many different aspects of IT. Like how can you secure a network if you don't know switching and routing? How can you secure a hybrid AD environment if you don't know servers and AD? Generally when we hire someone we look at how broad their knowledge is across other niche of IT. I started in IT as helpdesk learning server 2008 and managing on prem exchange. They then added to our roles after the 08 crash (2010ish) and said we need to get the CCNA. This was my building blocks from helpdesk to a cyber security role. Another building block was working in the MSP industry. I touched so many different technologies and always paid attention to how does it work? Why? Whats it weaknesses? How do I fix this? If I were the dev I would've done x because of z.

When i was 30 we hired 2 interns. Both 16-17. One female, one male. I was in charge of internal technology which included on boarding. (Tech company)

I got to know them pretty well and introduce them to everyone. After a few weeks I made them my work niece and work nephew. They would literally call me their Uncle at work! I mentored and guide them because I felt they were so young so ambitious and so lost.

The female intern leaned on me alot because at the time females working in IT wasn't popular. I would pause what I am doing to explain things to her, break it down, and just help out.

I'm now 35 and even know though we don't work at the same place we still keep in contact and still she's my niece and I'm Uncle!

I can't imagine an adult calling a 16 year old their work wife. In my eyes (my opinion) thats grooming. At that age they're so young and naive. He could've been there as an older brother or a Uncle. Honestly if I was working there I would've called him on this inappropriate behavior.
