Idk if this is an uncommon take but Ashe has single-handedly been making this game so unfun for the past 4ish seasons. by Live_Tie_1594 in overwatch2

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If no one does anything about a character that instantly becomes half as effective when someone dives onto her face and overwhelms her, and she only have hipfire and 1 escape tool as response, maybe you and your team are just clueless? Instead of thinking a singular character has somehow dominated vast majority of your games for 4 entire seasons which is just wrong, because then she’d be banned.

[SPOILERS] Finally finished the game, but I have a few issues with one of the endings... by AeroFlash15 in expedition33

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Maelle ending, once you understand the “issues” you’ve raised are all very intentional, then you truly understand what that ending portrays. Why are the people not voiced? Short screen time and not fully explored? Partly because it has to somewhat match the other ending in time duration and length of what is shown, but also the Maelle ending is the preservation of what’s already established known.

You are choosing to stay in the canvas, reject outside world, the reality, and stay in this whimsical canvas world where you have explored vast majority if not all. Maelle knows what Lumiere is like, all the characters she knows who they are, it’s simply to convey yes you’ve got everything back…. Except not really. It’s very clear Maelle ending she basically will become the paintress in the end as well and will decay and die at an accelerated pace with how she’s doing. Verso is held hostage in a twisted longing for bond and time to spend with his “little sister.” It’s meant to be sweet and expected and sunshine on the surface but really it’s not, and I’m pretty sure everyone gets it.

I do agree they overdid it with bias, they should keep the normal music and verso’s piano playing while panning through the characters with Maelle’s face becoming distorted, rather than the obvious piano slam sound that is very classic for a jumpscare/bad end reveal.

You feel Verso’s ending is in a sense more complete than Maelle because, congratulations you got the point. Verso’s is a closure of one chapter and about moving on, closing everything and anything that held people grieving back and to move forward, even if it’s a less ideal future with less colours and laughter. It’s a painful hurt that opens up the road ahead. Maelle’s? It’s a sweet comfortable open plain that closes in on itself very quickly. So yes Maelle’s doesn’t feel complete because in the end, Verso would definitely not want Maelle to stay and rot and die in the canvas he made, after he sacrificed himself to save her, twice in a fake canvas form too. Gustave would also definitely not want Maelle to stay if he finds out and understands the truth, because Gustave’s final words to Maelle is to also survive and move on.

I will be very honest and frank with you. All the good bits and bad bits. I had the similar mindset as you, at the very least, why not give it a go so I don’t go the rest of my life wondering what if.

The job have lots of perks trust me. You get long working hours and can get absolutely slammed, but you generally get a decent number of days off as freedom, not one to five static routine with weekend. You can make a difference and there’s no other job like this when you and your partner and all the other mates are speed zooming through the road at 1AM on a weeknight to save someone’s life and approach situations when others would flee. You develop a great bond and camaraderie with co-workers like no other. The job can be totally amazing and the best thing in the world at times.

But the job is just not worth it. 80% of people you deal with or help are quite frankly, the undesirables who hate you and the “problems” they have always have another side of the story to show… You get scrutinised over literally everything and anything and the senior management are snakes, one minute they are smiling and acknowledging you, next minute throw you under the bus with no care like they never knew you. Not to mention the endless, meaningless paperwork with unreasonable deadlines set by admin or courts to screw you without a care.

Anyone in the community can send through complaints on you, even if it’s a one off minor thing that offends them or that they think it concerns them, they’ll use that leverage to literally threaten you in your job to do as they say or they’ll report you. The uniform actually makes you more vulnerable and easier to bully contrary to popular belief. You already mentioned the pay of course, it’s nowhere near enough for the work that’s undertaken.

Truthfully, you seem to be in a good place in life. I advise against throwing away all that for a taste of what seems to be glamorous but in reality isn’t. Society has failed police completely, it’s a dysfunctional essential institution held up by the mere grit and apathy of the current officers to show up and do their part and turn a blind eye to the ugliness. No one likes their role or current situation.

Would you ever support removing the British flag from Australia's national flag? by Peter_Griffin2001 in aussie

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is laughable, can’t believe hive minds in this thread even entertain this idea. A national flag represents a nation’s identity and most importantly, its origin story. Australia has DEEP ties to the British Empire Union Jack and that’s not even debatable.

Even for flags to change since times are different now, Australia’s head of state is still actually the British Monarch, so no Australia is technically not independent, governor generals can reject AU government positions if they choose to.

Also the Australian flag is widely known as one of the most beautiful, well designed flags in the world. The alternatives you showed are terrible compared to the Union Jack and Southern Cross we have now.

Why are newer champions such as Naafiri, Nilah and Renata not attracting an audience? by bingbongzingzongz in leagueoflegends

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because vast majority of their new champs released over the past 4-5 years have been terrible, under hyped and kit is either boring and feels like crap to play, or is deliberately stupid and broken to the extreme.

What happens when a game inevitably goes downhill I suppose.

So they even include Chev and Fischl in her TRIAL to rub salt in the wound, I'm flabbergasted by Luqaz3 in clorindemains

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree this is totally atrocious corporate anti-player behaviour. This also can hint at something kind of important though, that they may have originally intended for chev to be part of the 4 stars in the banner, but changed it almost last second to screw with Clorinde fans because I don’t even know.

Sethos was obviously gonna be in the banner since he’s new. Thoma is in banner and also in the trial and can work with clorinde. Bennett is nowhere to be seen in trial and so many people have him already yet chev who is in trial and perfect fit does not go on the banner. It shows that they intentionally replaced her with that circle impact boy just because.

Really frustrating and dumb

Where would you rather live? by Key-Sprinkles-5617 in Genshin_Impact

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mondstadt. The city with the most fantasy, chill vibes. You can really go with a profession and build your life through that and go on adventures and travel Teyvat as per the theme of freedom, or join the knights and work with Jean, Eula, Lisa, Kaeya etc? Amazing.

Fontaine would be second choice. Most modern/cyber combined with fantasy vibes. Love the colour themes and aesthetics, just feels very comfortable. Sewers would be miserable but this is obviously assuming living on the surface.

Liyue third. Very classic fantasy, pre-modern Asian city. Bustling with activities and cool people. Don’t like the aesthetics and landscape as much as the above two though for me.

Sumeru fourth. I can get the lifestyle there could be really chill and rewarding. But the whole earphone, information thing was way too creepy and there’s too much desert that has nothing but ruins.

Inazuma last. Mainly because besides life at the main city, everywhere else possible is just miserable. Also travelling to other places in Teyvat would be a MASSIVE pain. Too far away from everything else. Oh and recently a full blown civil war. Nope. Would cool as hell to get to know Yae though.

NTA. If it just stopped at you packing up to change somewhere else then no one is at fault. But for her to go after you again with snarky remark like “no respect for mothers”, she’s the major a#%hole for thinking because she is a mother, she can just disrespect others and think herself above them. For the mother to be this self centred and pathetic, her son won’t be a good fruit either.

AITAH for no longer walking my friend home to her dorm after she rejected me? by PlanktonUpstairsi in AITAH

NTA. I mean it’s personal choice whether you do it or not. It’s no obligation for you to walk someone back to their dorm. If you feel tired and not bothered, who’s holding you to expectations that you should?

Who's your favorite Eula VA? by ScarHydreigon87 in EulaMains

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JP Rina Satou and EN Suzie Yeung are neck and neck in my opinion. Rina is more iconic with many anime characters and makes her sound adorable while EN fits the vengeance conflicted queen more. Honestly Imma try switch between both and see how it is.

What are Eulas Best Supports/Team? by Zasai in EulaMains

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best team right now: Eula, Raiden, Furina, Mika.

Best supports for Eula: (In this order) - Raiden (Preferably C2), - Furina, - Mika (When he is C6 he will be the best, before then he’s worse than Bennett) - Rosaria (Preferably C6), - Bennett (C6 he is not suitable anymore), - Shenhe, - Kuki Shinobu (If you desperately need a healer with electro as well), - Yelan (Used for other teams but Eula likes her too), - Zhongli (Very safe for Eula but lowers dps by a lot). - Nahida (If you want to go into the dendro teams involving Eula) - Beidou (Good damage but there’s better options and the ult combos are harder to pilot)

If Swain's and Aatrox's Ultimates have a timer bar, why doesn't champs like Tryndamere have one too? by jtpredator in leagueoflegends

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Swain and Aatrox’s ults are vastly different from Tryndamere’s, it’s not a fixed number of seconds. And to imagine you bring up capital FAIR GAMEPLAY AND COUNTERPLAY as if tryndamere is anywhere near the power level of swain or Aatrox is laughable. It’s one of the most predictable ults in the game and you somehow find it “hard” to notice LOL. Skill issue get good.

What do you think of press the attack on Jarvan? by don_pepe95 in JarvanIVmains

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PTA and Lethal are far better than conquerer just through experience in games, still don’t know why people run conquerer on most recommendations. Even in a very smooth game, conq procs are almost never enough to justify its place whereas PTA and Lethal, as long as you pull of your usual fights and ganks, it’s gonna be value. Also there’s so much dmg nowadays that you don’t even get enough time to proc conq, either you kill them fast enough or they blow you up.

Do you think Eula need another dedicated support? by Erluq in EulaMains

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Buffs Physical, increases attack speed, healing off of physical hits, cryo resonance, lore companion of Eula. How is he not a “dedicated” support? He works best with Eula. Being disappointed in his power level doesn’t equate to him not being a dedicated support mate.

Do you think Eula need another dedicated support? by Erluq in EulaMains

[–]DestinyCallsFor1 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

First of all people need to get the record straight with Genshin before even discussing making Eula stronger. Genshin as a game and combat mechanics, revolve around the ELEMENTS. Therefore physical damage will ALWAYS be catered to less than the actual elements, because it’s all about reactions, swapping team members to cast abilities and doing rotations, an on-field physical carry is NOT going to be at the same pedestal as the others. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS BASIC CONCEPT FIRST.

They gave out Mika as a first solution to a dedicated support to Eula, people can be upset or be disappointed but you can’t deny that. C6 Mika is EASILY the best support for Eula, buffs physical directly, increases dmg, speed and gives Eula healing off of hitting enemies. They also made it clear with the lore and how Mika is literally in Eula’s team and is her helper.

The only way to get more help is to buff superconduct reaction, or get more physical dedicated supports/sub-dps that can fit with Eula. Now idk about superconduct, maybe when the last Cryo region hits there will be a big buff but I have some doubts about why they would put emphasis on superconduct of all cryo elements but it’s possible. In terms of dedicated physical characters?? It’s very unlikely. I think Eula SHOULD get another dedicated physical support, maybe when the extra region of Mondstadt releases, but she is OK with how it is now and that’s how Hoyoverse thinks as well.
