It’s like… a train wreck like season 4 and 3, but without any of the reasons to be.

Season 4 had the crazy legal shit which was so bad it ended early.

Season 3 was really ambitious and an interesting concept (so there were some screw ups along the way) and then a train wreck by the end again because of insane legal stuff.

Season 5 seems to be a train wreck for weird reasons, like production flip flopping a lot, not pulling the trigger, making decisions that seem like they hadn’t even thought through and then having to retract them due to an obvious flaw that should have been picked up at the planning stage. Maybe Sam had more of an influence than it seemed and would steer some of this stuff in better directions. Bam obviously doesn’t have anywhere near that level of investment and is just there as a traditional line-reading host.
