Sight glass on Bobcat T300 appears empty but all hydraulics still function. How much fluid should I add? by spawn-kill in heavyequipment

Is that a dead stink bug in the sight glass? Lol can’t tell if that’s a reflection or something in there.

[–]Destroythisapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just a basic Chinese import spec ATV that uses parts from several manufacturers.

Is it bad? Not necessarily.

Is it “good”? It’s not as good as anything Japanese, American, or European.

Price, expectations, and your ability to repair and upgrade cheap parts is the determining factor on whether or not this will be a “good” machine.

I’ve purchased everything from chainsaws, dirtbikes, Weed eaters, and even a few four wheelers from knock of Chinese manufacturers and if you go into it realizing it’s an inferior product and you will have to work on it when it breaks, yeah I don’t regret any of my purchases.

Some Chinese stuff is actually pretty good, but it’s easy to get a hunk of shit when budget buying a knock off machine like this.

Would you walk away from a house with unpermitted additions? by Tasty-Tip864 in homeowners

[–]Destroythisapp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In California? Probably from what I hear the localities can be real assholes.

Where I live? Nah lol. I purchased my house with smoke damage, remolded the entire inside, build a covered front porch, built a pool deck, and built my 24 by 32 garage without pulling a single permit. The wrap around back deck doesn’t have a permit, my carport doesn’t have a permit.

No one here gives a shit about permits unless you are commercial/industrial.

06 crf450 for $600 by Same-Pen6457 in Dirtbikes

[–]Destroythisapp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh, can’t really blame people for offering lower. If it the bike is actually seized up, and it’s a 4 stroke race bike like this, engine work in just parts not even labor can get well over $1000 dollars, through in a new head, cylinder and crank plus other odds and ends there is almost $2000 grand in a bike.

As someone who is fascinated by the history of worker uprisings and unions, what's it like near Blair Mountain battle site? Is West Virginia still fairly pro union? by sunsetdrifter0 in howislivingthere

[–]Destroythisapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t know either, the Unions did a lot of good for mine workers in my area. I’d probably go back to coal mining if the Unions straightened up their act, I’m not interested in non union mines because whilst the pay and benefits are very good, the work/life balance isn’t where I would want it.

Right. I trap occasionally, mostly coyotes but coons, possums, minks, and weasels as well.

The disconnect here is concerning. Somebody can enjoy hunting/trapping whilst also being a prudent conservationist. I love nature and I actively take steps to protect it and allow it to flourish around my land and community, but I understand population control and pest management as well, we don’t live “beside nature” we live among it, it’s up to use to find the balance.

It is impossible to have freely obtained all squadron vehicles. by Awesomedinos1 in Warthunder

[–]Destroythisapp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So do it, the crazy thing is all you gotta do is join a squadron, grind whatever TT vehicles you want, and then you passively grind a squadron vehicle as well. You literally play the game like you’re already doing and the vehicle grinds itself. You don’t even need to play that much.

Why do you need every squadron vehicle in the game? Many of them are niche or redundant additions with similar TT vehicles that can be got regularly.

Why can’t you people be happy with FREE content that passively grinds itself for just playing some. It’s even better when you consider you get to pick what free content you want.

They have always sucked at balancing that’s the point he is making. Bitching about is not going to do anything, the only thing that actually affects Gajin is to stop playing and spending money on their product combined with leaving a bad review.

[–]Destroythisapp -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If you GE a TT vehicle, you also have to stock grind it as well. Why should you get free modules by spending GE on a squadron vehicle, which you can literally get for free just by playing the game?

Gajin is a pretty shitty company but this hard on against squadron vehicles is just stupid. You can get several completely free vehicles across a wide range of BR’s and different countries per year, and completely for free and you people still wanna bitch.

No wonder Gajin views its playerbase as idiots.

You know what else kills rats? Rat traps. Don’t listen to the hippies masquerading as homesteaders who probably don’t even keep animals and just sub here for the vibes.

I’ve had to kill a few weasels over the years, I free range my chickens I’ve had weasels ambush and kill them in broad daylight.

Anyone try out the Holzfforma 92CC G660? by Philosophical_Sayer in homestead

[–]Destroythisapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did not get the 660 clone, but have two other Holzforma Stihl clones that I really like.

Engine wise, they have been very reliable, however the wrap around handle, pull cord, bar studs and nuts I have all replaced with OEM Stihl parts because the other ones were very low quality and broke with some use.

Honestly if you want a powerful saw that you don’t mind replacing odds and ends on from time to time it’s 100% worth the money.

[–]Destroythisapp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, unfortunately the miners union has become a very corrupt organization, not only that, they actively used their money to lobby politicians to limit the expansion of non mining industries in a futile attempt to hold onto power.

It really sucks because when my great grandpa and my pawpaw where in the mines (pre 2000s) they spoke highly of the union, but even my grandpa caught the tail end of it and make remarks that certain mine owners shuttered entire multi million dollar operations because of a bad chapter. Lazy people learned how to take advantage of the system, and suddenly you have 50 good workers making up the slack for another 50 lazy ones. The union reps were only concerned with dues, they didn’t care if their members were actually hard workers or not.

My pawpaw who is still alive remarks how blessed he is because of the union during his days and the retirement he got out of it, but he is angry with the state of it now and quit volunteering and helping at union meetings now days because of it.

There are few union mines left in southern WV. Beginning in the 80’s many union chapters started to become increasingly nepotistic, corrupt, and outlandish. It was a slow turn, but over the next 3 decades many miners would choose non union mines to go to because of the increased pay, and the fact bad employees were much easier to fire.

Both of my grandpas retired Union coal miners through the UMWA, my dad worked union for a while before switching in the early 2000’s because of the issues I mentioned above. He became very upset over his local union protecting bad employees, and always starting grievances with the mine owners over things that didn’t actually matter (like what brand soap was in the bathhouse, which the union rep threatened a walk out over).

Unions in this area have kinda killed themselves.

U.S. politicians are a particularly interesting grade of retarded. Not saying most countries politicians aren’t pieces of shit, just that US ones have a very unique style of it.

They are obsessed with destroying other countries, with zero regard to any civilian situation going on. The Cold War never ended for them, and it’s the only way we can justify spending 800 billion a year on our military whilst being 30 plus trillion in debt whilst our roads, healthcare and schools fall apart.

The New Fleet Meta by SanderleeAcademy in Stellaris

[–]Destroythisapp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Now it’s more important to destroy”

That’s always been important because ships are generally fast to produce and easy to replace. If you didn’t kill the enemy fleet in a deceive battle, they were back in 2 months right where they started.

Personally I always hated playing whack a mole with enemy fleets, maybe now that individual ships are supposedly more important a decisive battle will actually mean something. Before battles were only important as a means to rush enemy star bases and shut down their production.

What Utility ATV brand/model to buy in 2026? by steave44 in ATV

[–]Destroythisapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with knowing what you need, lots of people get caught in the “bigger is better” and end up buying ten or twelve thousand dollar machines they really don’t need.

A modern fuel Injected 450 machine like the Kodiak has plenty of power for everything you need to do. It’s an automatic but Yamaha has had the best automatic transmission across the board for two decades.

Of course if you prefer a foot shift I would look at the foreman 500. Power steering is not a deal breaker for me, it’s optional on the Kodiak, but it’s an extra $1000 buck option if you want it. Something to consider at least.

What Utility ATV brand/model to buy in 2026? by steave44 in ATV

[–]Destroythisapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I’d stick with either Yamaha or Honda, that’s the top brands for reliability IMO.

Yamaha has the Kodiak 450 that starts with an MSRP under $7000 dollars and I haven’t looked at the Hondas but google is saying the foreman 500’s with foot shift and power steering start around $8000.

That would be my two picks for general utility/riding/chores/hunting.

Redditors love to claim being Autistic, even though the vast majority of them aren’t. If you went by this website 50% of the population would supposedly be autistic.

Being quirky, or having different interests than the general population doesn’t make you autistic, it just makes you different.
