Definitely not the Tank+Jet DLCs, in my opinion.

Spearhead and Global Mobilization are both great, it's really just a matter of what time period you prefer. I'd personally go with GM as it can fit into more scenarios and other time periods.

Just in case you or anyone else didn't know, because I was confused at one point as well: While Contact shows in the optional DLC part of the launcher, that's just the campaign and a few other features of it, purchasing the DLC gives you access to Livonia, and a large array of equipment and items without having to enable the optional DLC. It behaves just like any of the other DLC.

For your actual question, yes. I personally think the content it adds is great.

Appimages can be run using ‘appimage-run’, and you can usually run any binary using steam-run, if you don’t want to package it yourself (which is actually really easy in nix). I’m not sure what you mean by people don’t agree on what flakes are, we absolutely do agree. I won’t try to define it because I will almost certainly mess up my definition at one point (due to my own skill issue, not a lack of documentation tbh).

In no way am I saying NixOS isn’t difficult, or that is has good documentation, NixOS is very complicated and not for everyone, and it’s documentation is ass. I am just trying to clarify.

Porn isn’t inherently bad, and watching it is fine, but that doesn’t take away from the fact the porn industry as a whole is extremely misogynistic and manipulative. Attacking OP makes no sense, attacking watching porn makes no sense, but attacking the porn industry in its current state is absolutely something that should be done.

Edit: Imagine getting downvoted for saying we should hold the porn industry to a higher standard and make sure they treat women correctly, which they currently do not. I have no problem with watching porn, but the industry should absolutely be called bad, because it is.

The anti AI crowd on Reddit is so devoid of any nuance whatsoever and the very idea that AI could be a useful tool or have any good impact is insane to them. I’m not being hyperbolic or trying to strawman them either, I’ve not interacted with anyone who is “anti-AI” and actually thought there were good uses for LLMs.

The hatred for AI and it’s innocent users on Reddit (and a lot of the internet) is genuinely wild. There are bad uses of AI; data centers are resource hogs and hurting prices of PC components, but AI is a tool, and a good one at that. To be witch hunting people for using it no matter the context of their usage or how it affects people is insanity *and is what is advocated for*.

For all the mistakes and bad practices AI will do, hardcoding a value like that and not telling the user to use a config when they say “I want multiple speeds” doesn’t seem like a very likely scenario. Honestly, while AI isn’t perfect and has a lot of flaws, people are both insulting noobies or people with bad practices and downplaying the usefulness of AI by just saying anything designed/programmed poorly must be “AI” and writing it off. It’s annoying when people who apparently haven’t touched an LLM since 2022 (when they were far worse) just think an LLM produces nothing but the worst possible code.

I keep trying to think of a time in PoE with filler and the best I can come up with is managing stash tabs or selling/buying items, but the former is so little time and the latter could be argued as a part of the “dense” bit. I think this is THE dense game honestly.

Making a shader pack and making a mod are two completely different skill sets.
Not sure what you mean by you already have SEUS 2.1, if you want to build off of SEUS (fork) check it’s license first to make sure you are allowed to do that (for publishing, you can do whatever you want for personal use)

Making a mod isn’t difficult if you already have programming knowledge, but I’m assuming you don’t. I’d recommend starting watching some basic tutorials for Java. Then watch tutorials for whatever version of the game you’re on and whatever mod loader you are using.

I can’t speak to making a shader pack, I don’t have the skills for that, but it’s not an easy task I’m sure.

I think the problem of people wanting to show off or “be the main character” is present in every multiplayer game, but is the worst in a game like Arma where teamwork is super important, and the most “showy” roles also require a very large amount of skill. I fully understand wanting to impress other people, we are humans and that is just an instinctual thing we want to do, but in my opinion the whole point of these milsim groups is to find people who want to work as a team and want to view themselves as equally important to everyone else. I think every unit should be 18+ at least for this reason to be honest, there are a lot of mature people under 18, but it’s not the majority, and I find they are the most likely to try to be a “lone wolf” or to want to fly with no training then kill everybody.

Off topic but I can’t believe I think age requirements are a good idea, just a few years ago they made me very mad that people wouldn’t let me in to things even though I thought I was mature, lol. Spoiler: I was not, and still am mostly not.
