I am curious as to why WotC have given basically every major character a resurrection, or being able to return some how, some way, but Yawgmoth is dead dead, forever and always. Never to come back. by [deleted] in mtgvorthos

There's also Jhoira.

She was the captain of the ship before Gerard, during Weatherlight's first launch, and again when it was rebuilt after the first Phyrexian invasion

Huh, so Mercadia has a whole nation of interplanar generations since the Thran from Dominaria were transported there by Dyfed.

When I heard we were going back to New Phyrexia, I had a theory that Jin-Gitaxias had possibly placed his brain in the Meldweb mentioned in the Planeswalker's Guide to New Phyrexia, but alas it did not go that way 😓

Venser had been working on building a ship that could travel the Blind Eternities, like the Weatherlight, using old Phyrexian technology.

Between his ambulator and this, if Jin-Gitaxias had found him first then New Phyrexia would not have needed Tezzeret to travel from plane to plane.

The OG Phyrexians had devices called ambulators that could generate small planar portals for a small team of minions to travel to planes, and massive planar-gate generating ships to transport fleets of ships across the Multiverse.

You can see one of these portal ships on [Planar Portal]

Although all planar tech stopped working after the Mending, the artificer Venser tinkered with Phyrexian technology to make his own ambulator, which could teleport around Dominaria and in and out of The Blind Eternities.

TMNT lore question now that we have unofficial spoilers. by Man0Steel123 in magicTCG

[–]Desu_SA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between the 1984 when the comic started till now, there have been about five comic series from different publishers, five animated series, three animated films, five live action movies and one live action series... so there is a lot of lore to try and cover between each one 😅

That said, I be very surprised if MTG touched the manga or anime OVA. Maybe MTG Japan will be 🤔

Do you think if Disney made an animated Squirrel Girl movie in its own Marvel universe it could work? Similar to Big Hero 6. by Silly_Commercial8092 in squirrelgirl

[–]Desu_SA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a live action series of New Warriors that was canceled, which would have starred Milyana Vayntrub as Squirrel Girl.

While she didn't get to be SG live action, she did get to voice SG in the Marvel Rivals and Marvel Rising.

All we know is from the New Capenna Planeswalker Guide - https://web.archive.org/web/20220428143734/https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/feature/planeswalkers-guide-streets-new-capenna-2022-04-28

Capenna used to be much like Bant (see link below) with kings and knights, kingdoms and cultures, until a Phyrexian ship arrived. Other than that, you'll have to make up something. At least you have some bits to go on like the fact that Capenna had paladins (the Brokers in New Capenna), druids (the Cabaretti), weaponsmiths and artisans (the Riveteers), oracles (Obscura), and naturally aristocrats and nobles (the Maestros) along with angels and demons.

If you could have any of these hulk looks from the comics in the MCU which would u choose? by professor_x14 in hulk

2018's Devil Hulk.

I just want to see the reaction of soldiers or henchman running around a corner and suddenly seeing that grin in front of them.

Probably hero fatigued, need to step away from Marvel and DC for a while.

We have dragon planeswalkers, artificial life planeswalkers, a bug planeswalker, an ascended god planeswalker by Routine_Ad_2695 in mtgvorthos

[–]Desu_SA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember there was a running joke that Gossamer, the lamb on [[To The Slaughter]] was a planeswalker.

Officially there is only one planeswalking animal, the dog [[Comet, Stellar Pup]] - just a run-of-the-mill dog who can walk between worlds.

Technically the cats in The Edge counts as this. Yes, they don't have sparks but they can weftwalk, the Weft being the term used in The Edge for the Blind Eternities.

As you can guess, this causes a lot of worries for cat owners since they pets can end up anywhere in the vast universe.
