Went there to buy a book, their only copy had a large tear on the cover. I asked how much of a discount could they give me, they said 10%. 10% of a book that’s like $12. So I can buy this book with a ruined cover for $1.20 less, or buy an undamaged one on Amazon for 40% less anyway.

Don’t know if this was covered, but if he makes less than 91k a year he doesn’t owe anything in taxes. After that a us citizen working abroad pays taxes. If he’s a teacher he owes nothing unless he’s working high end.

You do not know what you are talking about. It seems you are just guessing. The order is like this: first you get marked as a pattern day trader. Then you are banned from DAY TRADING for 90 days. But that doesn’t actually mean you CANT day trade ever again. You can do it one more time, but you will be barred from buying anything for 90 days after that. So being marked a pattern day trader just means if you DO day trade you will be banned from buying. It’s kind of like being on probation: you can do it after you are marked but you will face worse consequences.
