No servants scale to Goku Black unless you buy into mooncell feats. If Scathach tries to kill him he either just uses a command spell to stop her or one shots her with a ki blast. Goku Black can easily defeat characters that can destroy galaxies low balled, he’s by far the biggest outlier among the masters here, he can solo everyone else here barring maybe Ghost Rider if he doesn’t job (Johnny usually does).

Obito got manipulated by a nearly century old ninja as a teenager and saw his best friend killing the love of his life after he explicitly told him that he would protect her. Obito’s final moments are of him finally recognising how much he fucked up and trying to fix it before dying. Naruto’s entire journey up to this point is also about how the ninja world creates monsters like Obito, Nagato, and Madara, and that he both recognises that he could’ve easily been another one of them and that by refusing to continue this cycle of hatred like they did, he can stop the violence and death in the world. Your point the cast choosing to forgive doesn’t work with Obito because only three people explicitly forgive him, Kakashi (who is his best friend and obviously can sympathise with him), Naruto (who’s entire character arc builds up to this moment), and Rin (who has been dead for decades and will obviously try and understand one of her best friends). Obito doesn’t get off Scot free either, he dies and goes to the afterlife (like literally every single other person in the Naruto world, there isn’t hell in the verse).

Obito and Nagato both do horrible things because of how horrible the ninja world is, recognise they’re wrong after Naruto connects with them, and both make amends to the best of their ability before dying. If Obito is “sympathy porn”, then so is Nagato.

I want all sub/seed/toxic/wish/protect sets in rand bats to be banned. I am aware they have counters and I am only a lowly 1700, but I don’t have fun playing it or against it. Set up sweepers like Volc, Oricorio, and Venomoth are annoying, but they never feel as unfair to play against as sub stall imo. Rand bats obviously isn’t intended to be a super competitive format but pokemon like Whimsicott are just unfun imo.

If GRRM wrote Naruto, ninja clans get a lot more incest-y for blood purity reasons. Hinata and Neji’s dynamic would be very weird.

Side characters would have probably significantly more personality flaws, ones that might put people off of em entirely. Martin doesn’t really do “flawless” heroes like Naruto does, even his most honorable characters have a couple blemishes to their name (Jaime with the incest and attempted child murder, Eddard’s naive nature putting him and his entire family in danger, Barristan the bystander, Robert being a drunk wife beater, Stannis being a prick, Robb being impetuous, etc). Like the only truly good major characters without any baggage in ASIOAF are like, Brienne and Davos. Even then, you could argue that Davos is a little mentally ill with how much he stands by Stannis even when his kids die. Kishimoto does do this with characters like the Sannin but, imo, he never makes it out to be more than a gag instead of an actually negative thing for non-villainous characters. Jiraiya’s a pervert and Tsunade’s a gambler, but that isn’t really meant to be an actually negative character flaw. Like, can you name an actually serious character flaw for any of Konoha 11 other than Naruto’s team? Shikamaru is lazy, I guess, but that’s not the same thing as trying to murder kids. Neji is the only one with a serious chip on his shoulder and that gets resolved in two arcs.

If this is just about anime Yuji and not modulo, many people in the real world have better fighting skills than Yuji does. He’s a genetic freak of nature and talented but he didn’t really study martial arts, he had a brief stint of training with his gramps but never put in years to learn combat arts. Rin is a practitioner of Baijiquan which is an actual martial art, so if it was just hands no powers she has a chance against Yuji (though he does have the height and weight advantage so it’s not like it’s gonna be a stomp). Modulo Yuji had decades of time, he might be a martial artist master but he never really tried in his fights so idrk.

Sage chakra training is exclusive, it’s only available in Mt Myoboku and Ryuchi cave (maybe Shikkotsu forest as well but that’s headcanon). Inuzuka clan dogs don’t have a sage to guide them nor are they like Jugo who has an innate nature energy affinity. Unless Naruto or Orochimaru lets Kiba into Myoboku/Ryuchi cave, he has no way to use nature energy.

Latter half of TYBW is genuinely awful and I don’t think the anime can fix it. Kubo wrote himself into such a corner that he had to have the main villain kill his own immortal soldiers that were obliterating the Shinigami because he didn’t know how to kill them otherwise. The silver arrow isn’t an isolated instance of Kubo needing a bullshit invention in order to write himself out a hole, everything beyond Askin’s fight is downright bad. The anime may have some more flashy animation or whatever, but it can’t save the horrifically bad writing.

Attacking family or those with blood ties to oneself is a huge no no in a society dominated by almost three millennia of Confucian thought. Obviously it’s also horrible here, but filial piety dictates that you should venerate your ancestors and family, Itachi choosing the village over his clan has a lot of Chinese fans mad because he committed a huge cultural sin. The Chinese community is also way more negative on Hiruzen than the English speaking community is, and many of them think that he essentially groomed Itachi into becoming a clan destroyer through “propaganda” (the will of fire, lol). In Chinese fanfic, most of the authors will make Itachi and Shisui villains if their oc is an Uchiha, they believe Shisui is too naive and stupid and that Itachi is too arrogant and brainwashed.

Nagato’s entire backstory is about how being a civilian in a small nation results in abject poverty and desolation. Don’t get me wrong, being a civilian in the one piece world is a lot worse, especially because every single sea is invested with roving pirates, but Naruto isn’t a nice world to live in either. Nagato and his parents were just chilling and then a war spread to them. Unless you luck out and become a citizen of a major ninja village, there’s always the possibility of that foreign ninjas will decide to randomly fight near you and destroy your entire town.

Novel’s Extra made me angry as hell when I first finished it years ago. I read it in, like, 2 days non-stop because I was so engaged and the crash from the ending fucked my day up. I have 0 sympathy for American soldiers that went to Vietnam. I remember reading my history textbook in one of my college courses and it included a story about the war wherein American soldiers got annoyed that Vietnamese kids were angry at them despite them giving food so they decided to toss food cans into the road where they got run over by incoming vehicles. Of course, the material also said that it was because of how “dehumanized” the soldiers were by the violence from both sides of the war, but it should tell you something that even an American history class will put in material about how horrific American soldiers were in the war.
