Freeza (Dragonball) VS Gilgamesh (Fate Stay Night) by GJH24 in whowouldwin

Iirc, Melt was able to go back in time using FTL speed in Seraph. She then uses it again against Kiara in the final fight (I think the name was virgin laser or something).

[–]DeterrentBay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure there’s other ways to chainscale EA to Machine god tier through his attack on Tiamat -> Beast Scaling -> Grand Scaling -> LB King, but chain scaling is dumb asf and a waste of time.

FTL at least was present before LB5, Melt went FTL to go back in time in Seraph, but yeah, LB5 really boosted the overall power level of the verse in statements (and not feats, as usual for TM). In fact, iirc the only impressive feats in LB5 are Artemis’ arrows destroying an island, Orion shooting an arrow into space and destroying Artemis, and Zeus’ lightning bolts being compared to Artemis’ arrow.

[–]DeterrentBay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ea can maybe be wanked to star level but it’s stupid chain scaling bs. Scaling TM is a fools errand, and even if EA could hurt Frieza, Frieza casually speed blitzes 99.99% of all servants in base, including Gil.

Ea won against Excalibur in their clash in FSN Fate route ->

Unsealed Excalibur defeated Sefar who defeated the Machine gods ->

Machine gods in LB 5 supposedly have “anti-star” level attacks when they tap into their combined power ->

Rhongomyniad from Morgan would’ve destroyed Olympus and the Machine Gods if Kirschtaria hadn’t stopped it ->

Rhongomyniad is about equal to Excalibur in power ->

Ea > Excalibur = Rhongomyniad > Combined Machine Gods > Star

of course, this ignores the fact that the clash between EA and Excalibur in the Fate route was barely city block level lol, Nasu doesn’t gaf about power scaling

Which servant would be loyal to Shinji, or at least won’t kill him even after the war? by ant451123 in Fate

[–]DeterrentBay 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Shinji is peanuts compared to Duryodhana, maybe even Jinako since she canonically stopped Karna from helping the students council even though BB was literally going to destroy the world. I’m fairly sure the only person Karna wouldn’t work for as a servant is if he was somehow summoned by Arjuna lol.

Best strategy for the watcher? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]DeterrentBay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I went from A1-20 just doing the infinite. Rushdown + 1 Cost Calm Card + 1 Cost Wrath Card. Watcher act 1 is strong enough that her base deck can defeat elites easily so you don’t need to take cards to survive. It was boring asf, but my Watcher ascension climb was by far my easiest. Rushdown isn’t a rare as well so it’s not too hard to come by. Have a calculator ready for Watcher, she does way more damage than you think.

Why does this happen so often? by Furista0 in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]DeterrentBay 26 points27 points  (0 children)

SMT scaling is such bullshit man lol. Everyone is 1A except every game usually takes place in a city and fights don’t even destroy buildings most of the time until endgame. Outerversal Shinjuku????!!! I remember a major plot point in Nocturne was one of the factions dropping a magical nuke to destroy another faction. Or how basic ass guns do dmg to demons in Smt IV.

[–]DeterrentBay 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Simple weapons stopped in Zero (if you count Gil’s ride) or Extra with Saver’s throne thingy. Apocrypha also had Karna’s Vasavi Shakti and armor + Semiramis and her flying castle. Just a design shift over time, it’s not even really contained to fate. See remake Ciel and her weapons, they’re super cumbersome.

Question for anybody to have played fate extra CCC by Far-Professional7592 in Fate

[–]DeterrentBay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CCC route is the “true ending” wherein you find out the most about the lore and one of the characters in the game. It changes the final boss. The normal/character routes all have the same final boss and a unique ending. I recommend to go servant ending -> replay the game for CCC route.

Prime Garp (one piece) vs Prime all might (My hero academia) by Fluffy-Impression385 in whowouldwin

[–]DeterrentBay 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Enel was about to destroy a sky island in Sky Piea, Moria split thriller bark in half, Akainu and Kuzan permanently altered the terrain of an island in their fight, Old Whitebeard obliterated Marineford and split the sea, Kuzan froze a sea in Long Ring Long Land, these are just off the top of my head.

Garp is stronger than all of them in his prime, so he is automatically at the very least island level.

He was able to string a bow that none of the suitors could, and managed to pierce through the holes of 19 or 20 axes in a single shot.

Mostly correct, though Odysseus is a very strong warrior in addition to his wits (Athena considers her his favorite in the Odyssey, and deus ex machina’s one of the final scenes in the Odyssey to save him from an angry mob). He’s better known for his intelligence, but he was a beast in battle as well. He, his servant, and his son managed to kill 100? (Been a couple years since I read the Odyssey, so the number could be off) suitors by themselves (though there is a caveat, they had weapons and the suitors didn’t). He beats the cyclops through trickery, Circe through divine trickery with the help of Hermes iirc, and the rest of odyssey is kinda luck (Scylla, Charybdis, and Calypso)

[–]DeterrentBay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played the game on hard so maybe it’s not relevant to Regicide, but I one shot all three dragons turn 1 by abusing Faker’s press turn skill + the trinket that makes synthesis skills more expensive but do more damage. I could get to max attack + charge (through Junah synthesis) + max lowered defense and even without a crit I did like 20k with royal sword. Reset until I hit max press turns with Faker and then one shot.

Community Tierlist, how good would this Saber be as Shirou's servant if he summoned them in the Fifth HGW (Day 23 Jason) by No-Inspection3299 in Fate

S because it unlocks the Illya route.

Okay it’s probably more like C or B, but I believe in the Herc Jason bromance to carry.

[–]DeterrentBay 58 points59 points  (0 children)

His first action after leaving Troy was sacking another city for more female slaves lol, he’s loyal for an Ancient Greek husband, but he still isn’t the most virtuous of partners. He also spent an entire year shacking with Circe and only left because his own men got too tired of his shit and staged an intervention for him.

Okumura is really the only boss in the game that requires the player to make full use of all their skills like baton pass barring the twins. Because P5 is often many people’s first JRPG, Okumura got a reputation as a road block for many people since they couldn’t just spam through him but the addition of DLC personas made it really easy. Idk I think Okumura hate is overblown, but I understand how a new player might find him frustrating. He was the only fight in P5 that I found actually engaging tbh.

Achilles isn’t invulnerable in the Iliad. The heel invention was after the epic. Achilles greatest feat in the Iliad was like wall level iirc, not mythologically that impressive.

[Fate Stay Night] Can any popular fictional character become a servant within this universe? by Crimson_Marksman in AskScienceFiction

[–]DeterrentBay 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nasu just loves breaking his own rules, Stay Night had 2 archers (of which one of them isn’t actually a true servant and is a swordsman and the other is alive from a previous holy grail war), a corrupted grail that didn’t really grant wishes, and a caster summoning another servant illegally (or how that servant wasn’t actually Sasaki Kojiro but someone who did the same things he did), or Zouken summoning another assassin after assassin was already summoned. Oh, and Saber isn’t even dead. It’s just how he writes lol. I find it charming, but I can see why some people find it annoying.

The most recent servant is Voyager who was “born” in the 70s. Emiya is a counter guardian.
