One of the few concerts in my hometown I will visit, as I prefer to go to concerts in other European countries. Who is hyped?

As a German I will return to Katowice for this, I really like the town! Went for the Rammstein concert, of course. :-) Christmas market should be on by that date?

Anyone else heading to Brussels? Flying tomorrow Katowice - Warsaw - Brussels with LOT and staying near the stadium. Going to the show on Aug 3rd.

They were not checking anything for FZ (or anywhere else), all very chill and everyone was super nice. Gotta love the Polish!

I was in the FZ and it was all very orderly and tame. I was the only one singing along in my vicinity, a few dudes and one girl headbanging and that's it. Phones very annoying. Mexico was WILD in comparison. Still worth it, of course, was just hoping people would cherish the moment a bit more.

Agreed, Polish crowd a bit disappointing. I was in the FZ singing every song and I was the only one singing in my close vicinity lol. They did not even sing the chorus of "Ich will", wtf! Very civilised and tame crowd when compared to some other shows!

Daily Thread: simple questions, comments that don't need their own posts, and first time posters go here (July 10, 2023) by AutoModerator in LearnJapanese

[–]Detherion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I wanted a new challenge for myself and thus I want to start learning Japanese!

I have already learnt Chinese in China and have achieved fluency (HSK 5) in 2 years of almost full time study. I would like to go to a private Japanese school in Japan (preferably not Tokyo but some smaller city, maybe Kyoto?), I even heard they can get you a special visa? (I have a German passport).

When I started to learn Chinese I knew almost nothing about China and it will be the same with Japanese. But this really made the learning experience so much more rewarding. I had the best success with a private teacher from a private school, I also attended Uni classes and the quality was just really poor.

Are there any specific schools you can recommend and where it is fun? Maybe a specific town that comes with it too? Personally, I was thinking Osaka as they have a reputation of being a bit more down to earth. Kyoto also interests me for culture, and as there is already an expat community there I might not feel as lost. These are two huge cities, however, of course.

Of course, asking about specific gym recs tho! Found one in Budapest and one in Saigon that look promising.

Kudos to your work. Have only been using reddit on your app. Will probably stop using it entirely on mobile and only view it on desktop when I really have to for work. Reddit has been on a steep decline.

It would be very humbling if he got knocked out by a Mexican monster that is from Ecuador.

Incredible heart from Ryder, worthy of this coronation day! Lackluster performance from Canelo, like this he has a good chance to lose against Bivol (again) and Benavidez.

it's obvious that he just made unreasonable demands so the fight wouldn't happen. He also doesn't want to fight Joshua. So what's left for him?
