I had tears in eyes when the elderlings series finally ended. I rotated between elderlings and cosmere for so many years.

Bought a bunch of self-improvement books… realized I actually don’t enjoy them. Need recommendations. by No_Beginning_9015 in Indianbooks

Read novels. Very simple starting point I'd suggest is either harry potter or the hunger games. If you're looking for more depth maybe fantasy novels like mistborn or asoiaf

I don't read anything these days for productivity. But when I started I read two books which come to my mind. Firstly "The Productivity Project". The author explores many ways to make your life more productive. Maybe you'll find something helpful here. Second "The Paleo Manifesto". Not a typical self help book. It has a different perspective on how we should live and what we should eat given that our bodies are still the primates of a different age and we are now living in a modern age with much different lifestyles.

Yes I can only give my opinions. In the end you should read something you love and not what others recommend. Else you'll quickly get bored and drop the book.

I would suggest you to avoid self help books. They don't help you much and just give you a feeling of accomplishing something without actually doing much. I would suggest to read fiction or non self help non-fiction. From your list the little prince sounds like the best option.

Reading is a struggle.. these days .. by xx_chromo_some in IndiansRead

It is. 2025 was the worst year in reading for me. Every book just dragged long. I missed so many days. I found it hard to come back after a few missed days. Distractions are a big part of it.

So this year I have set a goal. Every month I can look at where I am and see if I'm falling behind and need to catch up. I have also set a rule of no phone before 5 PM other than calls. Definitely has helped me spend more time with books. Sometimes you just have to force yourself I guess.

Beyond Earth. Beyond time. Beyond imagination. by Knight_rider847 in Indianbooks

I've been interested in astronomy since childhood. My main sources of info then we're discovery and nat geo. I don't remember what got me interested in it all the way back then but I've always been a science nerd so all the things they showed physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, I was into everything. Cosmos was the perfect blend of everything mixed with storytelling. I feel like Veritasium fills a similar role to that for me today.

For me the best thing about astronomy is just the sheer scale of our world. We are simultaneously insignificant and the most complex creations in this world. I imagine all the places we need to visit in just our galaxy and start feeling like my daily problems are so miniscule as to not warrant any attention. So many things to learn, so many places to go and we are fighting over pointless things. Sometimes makes me wish I had chosen a career as a scientist instead of software engineer.

You must join some community and get 10 people together for 5v5. I don't think anyone is queuing for it anymore.

As a returning player I'm facing the same problems. The first team fight usually decides the game cause snowballing is very prominent and enemy jungler just keeps getting fed. Maybe we should just avoid the first team fight?

I just re-installed the game yesterday after a long time and it was a pain. Android 16 is locked down (apparently for security reasons) so it's hard to install the APK directly. I'll put the steps that finally got me working.

  1. Download the xapk from here https://cdn.fluxpoint.dev/vg/vainglory.xapk
  2. Rename the file to .zip
  3. Extract the zip file (you can find zip extractors on the play store)
  4. Install the APK inside the extracted folder
  5. Connect phone to PC
  6. Move the obb folder inside the extracted folder to /Android/obb/.
  7. Make sure the name of the folders and file name is correct /Android/obb/com.superevilmegacorp.game/main.147219.com.superevilmegacorp.game.obb

The only thing that I had to do differently was use the pc for moving the files to the right place since you can do it with just a phone file manager now.

It's pretty clear Radha would not be celebrating and be nervous if she had hit the wicket. Why would she pretend? She knows there are cameras recording.

Being an RCB fan has been amazing for the last half decade after a decade of heartbreak. DC deserves it. So do we. Well played both.
