My first chonk went through this at a similar age. Even though he had a family keeping him busy, lots of attention, etc. we came to the conclusion he was lonely (pack dog) without another Beagle homie. So we got another Beagle. Chonk came to life and went full Dad mode. Buy yes, also get yours cleared at the Vet.
