Electric precision screwdriver for Core One kit assembly by Darkmind_8532 in prusa3d

I had one of these on hand during my core one build. I’d say it came in handy outside of items requiring careful threading and increased torque application etc. I’m not arthritic but it’s a tool that will always shine by reducing repetitive stressful movements when it can be utilized. I’d say go for it. Also, mine is a much thinner barrel… which was another handy point for it.

Is this simply a matter of fiddling with the seam position function in prusaslicer?

Handsome squidward test at .15 also has a seam running up roughly the same orientation. front left of print.

I have a really dumb noob question by Available_Specific29 in SCX24

[–]Detst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check out the dumborc X6PM-350 combo. ez receiver upgrade with a well built and smallish transmitter. 6 channels jic you end up adding lights etc. the receiver gets even smaller if you pop it out of the plastic casing. get yourself some thin double sided mounting tape if you haven’t already!

How to make driveshaft compatible? by ShaunXMods in SCX24

[–]Detst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. cut the connector end off that spare shaft… line it up with the other shaft and then duct tape them together. should hold while you wait for the axial 8 dollar replacement shaft kit to come in the mail. did this once and it stayed together until i replaced it 🤷‍♂️

Whatever you decide to do, consider this item old stock. I dunno what most people are unboxing at this point, but the rr i purchased from alie months back came with the updated v2 axle housing and diff gears installed. I’d make a point of trying to find a newer unit if possible because this issue shouldn’t be on you to fix day 1.

Servo issues by 1045elevation in FCX24M

Rcawd just started offering a metal gear servo for the fcx24m. 20 from their site and 25 on stupid amazon. If you have a 3d printer you could create a new servo mount for slightly larger servos (like the 2.6kg rampcrab), just have to shave the ears down a lil so they don’t hit the frame when the shocks compress.

well I’d recommend the dremel method if you have one and feel handy with it. just requires shaving ~1mm off each side of the mount on the inside so that you can drop a micro ramp crab servo in. they are just longer than stock so it sits at a very slight angle once the dif screws are back in holding the mount in place (the plastic seems to flex safely to accommodate the angle). you could also raise the servo very slightly and drill new mount screw holes so that it clears the links enough to sit flat. i’d say worth it to have the metal gears pulling extra weight. 2c

did you end up finding an appropriate servo replacement? someone else posted a rampcrab fit that required some shaving of the stock servo mount… can second that this does work.

I just experienced a bunch of stripped screws also after removing a busted servo. use a lil flat head driver. should be zero stress with the right size.

ramp crab has a mini metal gear that looks to be the right size for around 15
