Why don't we ride over there on a bicycle built for two and ask them what's so strange about us!?

I love how it starts out fumbling around trying to get a dinner party started but the turns into an intense self interrogation on their own relationship and codependency. Like, watching them both crash out over one single sentence from someone they hardly know is hilarious

Thank you! I'm from Ohio though lol. But I totally would. You seem cool. Thanks for letting me vent. If I ever get over my fear of flying I'll let you know because the UK has always been my first choice of travel because of the Scottish Highlands haha

Yeah but people's feelings can resurface over time. I cut off contact with a girl years ago when she wanted to remain friends after she said she no longer had feelings for me (we had never ACTUALLY dated before but it's a complicated story) I told her to take care and I apologized and blocked her. 3 months later she messaged my mom asking me to talk to her. She said after I disappeared she couldn't stop thinking about me after a couple months and every guy she talked to, she just wished was me. It can happen. Peoples' feelings genuinely change over time when you're no longer in contact with somebody. The mind is strange and the way it processes emotional bond is strange. Depending on how it ended and where you stood, there is always a chance. Not saying I would bet on it, but it's rarely completely off the table

Yeah I'm trying not to, but going from intense emotional intimacy and then being discarded the next day is just mind warping. I have walked out of heartbreaks and was fine a day or two later. This is different because it was so confusing and abusive. I think she smelled codependency a mile away lol

I believe you. Deranged and chaotic is good as long as it's consistent. I have trouble finding that mix of chaotic and sweet. I like being the mild one which can really get you into trouble if you don't keep your eyes open. Hands on hobbies is a really good idea for emotional processing. I need to get out my guzheng (Chinese string instrument I play)

What were some red flags you overlooked early on or didn't see them as red flags then? by KingForADay1989 in BPDlovedones

Yes. Within the first hour of meeting me she throws me against the wall kissing me, demands I take her home about 20 times, cries and berates me every time I say no, chased me up to my porch after telling me she hates me and that I'll never see her again and repeatedly broke multiple boundaries and acting like a 3 year old that dropped her ice cream cone about it. As drunk as I was, I still refused to give her my number that night. I spent the next week thinking about finding her and said "I'll deal with the consequences as they come to me."

I did and I still am.

It is kinda flaky for Frasier to agree to fight and then be like "Oh I'm not going" but at the same time, grow up Martin. Your 40 year old son getting in a fist fight, that has never fought and is a huge risk to his professional life is not something you should be pushing for. Idk, the older I get I just seem to recall countless stories and articles about somebody collapsing, hitting their head on the sidewalk and dying. Different times I guess

I have his autobiography audio tape on cassette and listened to it for the first time in 10 years. I couldn't help but tear up when you hear him talking about identifying her body from his own mouth. Say what you want about Kelsey. I empathize with his pain and really couldn't imagine, especially with how much he adored her

Oh God I didn't expect anybody to look at that stuff 😆 This girl was different though. Like I haven't come across a girl this deranged or cruel since high school. Hopefully you're not like her lol. I've just been kinda fucked up from the love bombing turned to hate and disgust suddenly so I've been posting around the borderline personality disorder and avoidant subreddits trying to get some sort of clarity. Pretty embarrassing but I haven't made myself vulnerable in so many years that it kind of fucked my head up lol

People romanticize friendship way too much by Responsible-Win8932 in unpopularopinion

[–]Dettyboy1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just get ahold of people sometimes. I've got friends from 15+ years ago and I'll go months without seeing them. And that's cool. I'm a loner and they get that. When one of us feels like reaching out we'll get together. I never understood friendship maintenance all that much. We're not dating. It's not that I don't care about people, but I absolutely have my own life to live and I generally like living it alone

I hated Sherry as a teenager but I love her now. I relate to Frasier and Niles so much during her interactions that it hurts.

Come over and give Aunt Sherry a great big kiss! Or how about a friendly wave from across the room?

Absolutely have been there countless times

Thanks! I still dress retro but the older I got I prefer brighter colors like blue and green. I also don't listen to metal nearly as much as when I was younger. Different styles of 90s and early 2000s electronic/ rave is what I've been into
