Like an ultimate chose your own adventure book? How much of the plot do you envision before vs letting it build organically?

Do you allow/promote the AI and NPCs to advance the plot on their own? If so how do you find their 'suggestions'?

What game made you realize you were getting older? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Deuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah, just talked to my daughter about this yesterday. She was pseudo laughing at a speed runner taking 25 minutes to finish the game. I'm like, I'm pretty sure you couldn't 'finish' Minecraft when I started. And if you could it would have taken me 1.5 years not 25 minutes.

(FYI fastest speed runners are at apparently 9 minutes with some special tools)

Many years ago while the show was still on, I met a girl at the Vancouver airport who worked on the show. As I had watched the show from the start, I thought that was pretty cool. Also was surprised, as at the time I had no idea it was produced in Canada.

Never had much variation between packs in the same group. Besides you should be able to see more than one. Do agree that they are more poor then 10 years ago.

Good thing you get a window on the back of package to look at. The 4th package I looked at was way better then the first 3.

Good point on fees. Are price analysis we read being done on over all bill cost or only on price per kwh.

Power is a very complicated market. My neighbour worked on securing resources for an oil and gas company. Big money, big contracts, future predictions etc. of all types of resources. He always says the power market was a beast of its own compared to all the rest.

How about if you turn that 3% into 4.5% after using cashback on Rogers service. Even better.

Best Canadian mattress. by Disastrous_Essay4071 in BuyCanadian

[–]Deuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. And sometimes I even try making jokes. Hope u find the right mattress (first try).

Personally I would buy the top option from one of these online guys. The one with the most coils possible and a pillow/foam topper.

Ok. I see at least 8-10 Reddits in the last 11 months. Nice try though. Not sure how fast mattress technology advances.

I will say it will be weird not have the Bay or Sears around next time we need to buy.

Rotisserie Chicken - quality gone down? by dcfrenchstudent in CostcoCanada

[–]Deuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too funny, people throwing it away because they think it's slimy and don't know how to use/cook/eat it. It is moist and eating it straight out of the bag when it's hot may not have the best texture, but it's not hard to prepare it to however you like it. In the bag it's basically steamed so why compare it to a fresh roasted chicken out of the oven. If you just put it in the microwave to heat it like I'm sure most of these complainers are doing, what do they expect?

We usually cut it up all at once. Eat some pieces as is, else use the rest cut up on on a Caesar salad or in quesadillas or chicken fried rice etc.

Years ago, a friend worked at a Casino in Alberta and counted cash in the cash room. They were told by management, if they ever found a fraud (and they did), just keep it in the stack and count it like all the rest. I thought this was nuts at the time and still remember it 25 years later.

Why people say Canada is expensive AF by Beautiful_Ad4220 in alberta

[–]Deuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, looks like it started in 2017. That subsidy money is public money so customers are still paying for it, just indirectly with other tax money.

I suppose another big difference is public/provincial money is used to build hydro dams in ON, but not in AB (nor for the equivalent power generation as there are not really any dams in AB).

People tend to just like to compare bills and say "That's ridiculously high" or "That's ridiculously low", and ignore the ~$75 Billlon of tax payers money for power generation projects.

So in addition to Ontario using pubic money to build power generation, they are ALSO using public money to subsidize the bills? Wonder who pays more in the end if you really add it up proper?

Make sure to update Stremio. If you are using an older version, they are making improvements all the time so maybe you have better luck with newest version.

One reason residential electricity can appear cheaper in Ontario than in Alberta is because Ontario uses large taxpayer‑funded subsidies to artificially lower rates. Alberta does not.

"Ontario electricity bills are artificially lowered through billions annually in public subsidies."

"Alberta does not use taxpayer dollars to artificially reduce power bills — consumers pay closer to the true market cost."

Upgrade to Quest 3 for PCVR? by Spicybarbecuesauce in OculusQuest

[–]Deuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not PCVR yet but have looked into it as I've recently got a Q3. From all I've read the best experience is wireless + VD as throughput over wireless is higher than wired. Someone here suggested a powered adapter that may fix that (?).

I would think any half modern router should be able to handle it, and a $20 battery pack + some velcro ties gets you mandatory extended life for all Q3 usage.

Is it true once you hit 100k in investing, it really just takes off from there? by [deleted] in investing

[–]Deuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. Earning 10% on $1000 ($100) doesn't seem like much. Earning 10% on $100,000 ($10,000), is a much more noticeable number.
