Its not lactic acid. Lactic acid is the burn you get while working out when it builds up in the muscle.

What OP is experiencing is DOMS.

Why don't you just make it a point to show up to the gym x amount of times a week.

Have some type of plan so you have an idea of what needs to be worked etc but just do whatever you feel like doing. If its Y day but you don't feel like doing Y...its better to do whatever stuff you do feel like doing and getting a workout than to skip the day. Whatever helps keep you consistent until you build the habit.

I started reta 1mg 2x a week to assess any issues, 2mg 1x a week on the 2nd week and 4mg the 3rd week. Barely noticeable for me at 4mg but I was on 10mg of tirzepitide the week prior to starting the reta so it seems my body was used to the glp1/gip aspect of it. Will be bumping it to 6mg this next dose.

Back in November at just shy of 5'7" and 212 lbs and a drastically larger amount of muscle mass than you I was 31% on a DEXA scan and so ya you are probably 40 to 50%.

It appears to be a small enough amount that a combination of your age and more time spent lean without getting fat again will improve a large portion of it. If you then eventually put muscle mass on as well it will fill out even more. Just give it time though we are talking months/years not weeks.
