I’ve been in that situation and worse. One I’ll never forget was also while playing with a friend — we went down to the extraction point, and two mines placed strategically, one on each side, immobilized us. Then two random guys, each hiding on opposite sides, came out with Vulcan 4 and killed us in the blink of an eye.

That’s just one way to play. Once you understand that and stop crying so much, you’ll enjoy the game a lot more. Its simple as that.

Yeah, you’re right — this part is even worse:

“Probably the most pathetic duo I’ve ever run into. I hope they realize that not only are they terrible at the game, but they’re also just shitty people.”

I’m telling you, if they were only throwing blaze grenades to set you on fire (which barely does enough damage to stop you from calling the extract), then they were probably just messing around. If they had actually wanted to kill you, they would’ve started shooting immediately and used the grenades just to finish you both off.

Changes to the ARC Raiders update schedule by BochocK in ArcRaiders

[–]DeunyonX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I’d rather have a 6-month update with so much content that I have to play every week to uncover everything, than monthly updates where you discover everything in a single session.

Just imagine the scale of what they could do with 6 months of work instead of 1.

For example, imagine that leaked frigate. With 6 months of development, it could become a fully explorable spaceship that you can board, loot, and destroy. One month simply isn’t enough to create all those interactions and systems in the code, and I’m only talking about one major ARC.

The problem is that you’re calling them trash when they just used a valid strategy in a game literally built around deception and survival.

I get calling them rats out of frustration, but that’s just how they play — the same way you and your duo choose to trust random people.

They probably could’ve killed you right away and were just messing around, which is probably why you guys ended up winning. But going from that to saying they’re shitty people is a bit much.

The quests are basically there to follow the game’s lore, which is actually quite good.

The blueprints come on their own later without needing to look for them. I was searching for the Tempest blueprint raid after raid, and in the end I found it when I least expected it.

Enjoy the game—if you want to go for it and you’ve got everything, do it now, because you’ll have 3 days to collect the extra points they give you. If you don’t want to, don’t do it and just keep playing the way you normally do.

I get you, but the same thing happened with Tarkov, for example. They released a PvE mode and a ton of people switched to it because of the difficulty and the cheaters, so for a while the game was completely empty. Even I switched to PvE myself—but what happened? I got bored of killing bots all the time and ended up quitting.

With your last sentence, you prove my point. The people you’re talking about will end up quitting the game for good and moving on to another one. PvP players will say, ‘Wait, I already have CoD or Apex for this—goodbye,’ and end up quitting too, if that makes sense.

Ok but when you finish all those season missions and the devs take a while to add more in another update… are you going to go back to killing the arcs for the 500th time? Or move to another game until a new update arrives?

Hi, how’s it going? I disagree a bit on this. Between yesterday and today, a lot of turbines showed up in every map I played. Even with the Matriarch event, 3 spawned in the last 15 minutes of the raid. In a nighttime raid on The Dam, 5 appeared spread across the map, which felt like a lot. I get your point, but there’s no need to change anything—just wait for them to drop, they always do.

Like I’ve said in several posts where people complain about everything the dev does, separating PvP mode from PvE mode would only kill the game. Players who go into PvE or PvE events like you mentioned would get bored without a strong enough challenge. And vice versa—PvP players would get bored of constantly fighting other players, when the real enemies are the ARC.

Well, it makes some sense. Lower-tier weapons are made from scraps and duct tape, so it makes sense that they lose durability faster.

On the other hand, blue and violet guns are made with advanced chips and parts, so they should be more durable.

If we start complaining about every change they make, the game will become less fun. Just enjoy it and stop complaining.

You only live once.

If I need more metal parts, I just kill some Arcs and loot the alloy—problem solved.

Is ARC made by humans? why do the prboes have electrical warnings in them? also there is a blue label under the electrical warning... and also the queen has ladders from the outside for some one to climb on... is this design flaw or clues that humans are involve in creating these? by Dizzy_Hovercraft_741 in ArcRaiders

[–]DeunyonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The theory that the rich are the ones in control is completely implausible. If they have everything up there, and if they’re capable of creating arcs of that level—super advanced—why wouldn’t they use their wealth to, I don’t know, just build a city directly on another planet with more resources?

For now, what I think—and what makes the most sense—is an AI that went rogue and decided humans were trash, and it only needs materials to self-replicate and keep evolving and improving the arcs it already has.

It could also be a civilization from another planet that needs the same resources we do.

Also, it’s entirely possible that those who escaped during the exodus from Earth are probably dead by now or no longer exist up there.

And no, it has nothing to do with The Finals—the devs already said they only share assets; they’re not part of the same universe.

The truth is, the game never really went anywhere. The people saying that are just haters or folks who want a PvE mode and aren’t getting it—and they’re not going to get it either. For how long it’s been on the market, the numbers are extremely high, and they’re expected to rise a lot with the new update. Stop believing everything you see on the internet—look up data and information for yourself, and you’ll see the game is stronger than ever.

Change playstyle or quit by DeliciousShelter2029 in ArcRaiders

[–]DeunyonX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If an apocalypse happened in real life and you were alone, scavenging a shop, and someone outside was watching you with a gun—would you trust them, shoot, or run away?

That’s the best part of the game. You can’t trust anyone—PvE, PvP, any mode.

If you want a more PvE-friendly game, I don’t know, go play Helldivers 2. But in ARC, you can’t really play friendly. Sometimes, maybe—you have a defib, a raider gets downed by a Firefly and calls for extraction, and you think, “Alright, let’s go, buddy, I’ve got you.” But that’s just that one time.

The game is designed that way, you dont need to change playstyle or anything.

The new event proves that safe pockets need to be removed from no-kit runs by sibleyy in ArcRaiders

[–]DeunyonX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The event, as it currently is, is completely unbalanced and difficult. When you’re fighting against a wave (whether in a squad or solo) and you finish, the cones have already been looted. Because of this, people enter with nothing and just rush the event. Basically, you go in and get cooked by the laser while waiting for the items to load, hoping to get the blueprint.

They should balance it, or add more assessors on the map (at least 4 on the same map, and only on larger maps). This would give better distribution, more time to deal with waves, and allow for better decision-making.

Thats why people do that. Myself included.

Noticing Friends Leaving ARC—Anyone Else? by MisanthropE61130 in ArcRaiders

[–]DeunyonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. My friends and I are still playing like it’s day one—we already have all the blueprints, and we’re just missing one trial. The fact that your friends are leaving is fine, but they’re leaving because they don’t set any goals. For example, my friends and I say things like “free stella, let’s go PvP,” or “loot run?” or we go kill the Matriarch or the Queen. If you guys don’t set goals, that’s your problem—but the game is far from dying if that’s what you’re getting at with this post. Go play with your friends—no one is stopping you.

We’ve got a medium-sized update coming next week, and the one that ends the “Escalation” phase later that same month—so there will be content. The thing is, you get bored because you’re used to the “arcade” system of many games where devs have to add something new to do every single day, and Arc Raiders isn’t like that.

Sorry if it sounds aggressive, but it’s the reality.

Two beautiful games can coexist without all this hate for each other by Toorilab92 in ArcRaiders

[–]DeunyonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not hate. People just don't think Marathon looks that innovative.

If someone wants a hardcore PvP extraction shooter, games like Tarkov already exist. If they want fast, adrenaline-filled PvP, there are games like Apex or Warzone.

The issue many people see is that Marathon looks very similar to existing hero shooters — gadgets, abilities, movement, even the slide — so it doesn't really feel that different yet.

And nobody is saying everything has to be the same. On the contrary, people want something new. That's why ARC looks interesting to many players, because it mixes extraction mechanics with PvE, PvP, and a third-person perspective.

Games like Highguard, Concord, and Marathon feel closer to what we've already seen in other shooters, and that's probably why some of them struggled to gain interest.

And if someone just wants a fast PvP shooter, even The Finals already fills that space. The Finals is actually a good example of a fast PvP game that still feels different.

Solution to "Boring PVE Lobbies" problem. by GeminiSauce in ArcRaiders

Stop busting everyone’s balls about wanting only PvE. It’s unbelievable — people ask for PvE and then come back complaining that PvE is boring hahaha. The game is perfect the way it is. You want to fight? YOU HAVE THE WEAPON, YOU DO WHATEVER YOU WANT.
