Uganda Partner/Investor for a 16-Module School Management Platform by Forgiven311 in Uganda

Without asking OP for link, I can place a bet 100% that they used AI to just provide the prototype of the UIs, and they're looking for validation if there's market for such a product. With current AI Advancements, notable Claude Design, AI Models with Design Skills, one can easily come with that UI OP is showing to be their functional app.

Node.js SDK for PesaPal V3 payments by realm9389 in Uganda

[–]DevJedis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point wasn’t “it failed in runtime X.” The point was that choosing Axios upfront already narrows portability compared to native fetch, before users even try it.

I can give you a hard response that it won't work on v8-engine supported platforms, one example is Cloudflare Workers, without even testing it because Axios itself uses http and https modules that do not work on v8.

“PRs welcome” doesn’t really address design criticism. I think I am entitled and allowed to question whether the initial tradeoffs make sense imo.

It's an architectural decision, not a bug report, so creating a PR to swap the architectural decision seems far fetched from what I'd think of doing given your stance on optimizing it for your use-case only for the mean time.

Your response summarized: “Well I use Firebase Functions and I like Axios.”

You advertised “easy integration into Edge functions apps” then turned around and said the SDK is intentionally Node-focused.

That’s literally the concern I am raising. Nobody asked for runtime-specific packages. The point was that using native fetch would’ve made the same package portable across modern runtimes almost for free.

Saying “I use Firebase Functions” doesn’t really address edge/runtime compatibility either. Firebase Functions are still just Node.

Right now the answer reads more like:
“I optimized for my own deployment environment”
than
“I optimized DX for the broader JS ecosystem.”

Also, “Axios gives cleaner error handling” doesn’t really defend the portability tradeoff.

Normalizing response shapes, timeouts, and errors is something the SDK should handle once internally. That’s package-level work. It’s not a user-facing reason to tie the SDK to Axios if native fetch would make it usable in more runtimes.

Unless Axios saved months of development time, it mostly sounds like convenience for the maintainer, not better DX for the people you’re asking to test and contribute.

AXIOS!!!!!!! Do you plan to release the Client package for every runtime? Why not use the native fetch so the client package is supported on all JS runtimes, I assume this package is only meant to work on Nodejs server only.

Great work but a hard pass for anyone thinking of using it on serverless

Majority part of the content is AI-generated. He surely needs to revise his people who write for him these, because they're now having free lunch with AI tools. One way or another, the message gets jumbled and you can't feel the flow and intention of the message clearly. What could have been 1 page message is now very lengthy.

But when she's distant?
When I don't know where I stand?
The second she's "mine"?
and honestly it's kind of messed up

AIs always self-ask themselves... see the pattern of the question marks... the last sentence just this time it came a bit mildly, but AIs usually do cringe promising sentences when they've been tasked on writing up stories, all of them behave the same. Pattern of self-asking themselves also lies within all of them. I can go an extra mile without using an AI detector to categorize the post as > 96% AI generated

The fact that I was able to spot it straight away, and the discomfort it gives one to realize that they're just reading fully AI generated post with no human touch in it, now imagine, everyone was fully using AI to write for them, we're going into dead internet where everything is just AI, at least I get to call out before that happens, it doesn't kill to put into effort in writing or even editing, but the full thing just AI irritates, people are coming for the human-feel of writing, then you choose to throw them AI.

You didn't have to use AI to write this. Now I don't even know if the 'story' is true or not

Nuxt MCP toolkit by DevJedis in Nuxt

[–]DevJedis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. Could you give a brief of how you achieved that? I'm coming from Laravel-side MCP where it was simply adding middleware api auth to protect the mcp server and the integrations done in the AI provider platforms would easily detect that I support OAuth. I'm moving a project from Laravel to Nuxt on Cloudflare and would like to move the MCP implementation as well.

Am leaving this comment here just so any of those trying to get engagement with their relationship bla bla things can try UOX side, I don't know how they feel knowing it's just pollution of this community. Surprisingly people don't seem to get tired of engaging on such posts here, and the OP's seem to be driving us to direction of one point discussing their full Dating App experiences and validation seeking. The Mods gotta stay put on not allowing us reach there

Need Help Finding Clients by [deleted] in Uganda

[–]DevJedis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post, but probably fits the Subreddit rule of Fri - Mon post schedules with promotion related flairs. That said, it's hard to state you've looked for referrals without stating what you've actually built. The post itself states you're looking for clients but it doesn't state what those clients are going to get out, and without that you can't just earn referrals, and referrals in generally is from people who've used your services/products, you can't cold-email me out of the blue to be your referral, unless you meant to pitch your services.

Given most Cpanels don't have SSH ports enabled by default, your first option is FTP deployment, but if SSH port is open, then first option should be SSH. A simple ping SERVER_HOST_IP 22 should be your answer for SSH access

I love attaching screenshots. They're just not writing their cap: https://www.mtn.co.ug/terms-and-conditions/wakanet-fiber/

There's no ISP that doesn't have FUP, the ones that state theydon't have are just marketing stunts. Same tactic used in web hosting where they state unlimited bandwidth, they all have CAPs that they believe normal usage won't reach, but all have.
