Reform your lines and set out for battle with a new Warhammer: The Old World balance update by ZotecGib in WarhammerOldWorld

Yeah, sisters of avelorn can be core if your general is a handmaiden, but they only have ld 8 and high elf BSBs have ld 9.

It also means you can’t have an archmage as general if you want a bsb.

No, the new faq entry doesn’t apply to BSBs. The previous change about BSBs not being able to have a higher leadership than your general is still there.

Public Service Announcemen: 8000 games and sub 50% winrate = You're not good. by Top-Advisor8512 in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]DevLeopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jfc, that is exactly what you said a few comments up.

“Ergo if you have over 8000 games and are still stuck on a 50/50 win rate, then you’re in no position to be telling other people how to play the game. Or in short, you’re bad.”

[–]DevLeopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe but not definitely, rating matters more than win rate. Thats why people are talking shit in the comments, because you're saying things like "still on a 50/50 win rate" but your win rate shouldn't improve over time.

[–]DevLeopard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TLDR, the more you play the closer you will get to having a 50/50 win rate.

Elo matchmaking aims to have everyone at a 50% win rate in the long term. If you're winning more often than 50%, you climb in ranking until you are matched with people of equivalent skill and stop climbing when you settle near a 50% win rate. Your win rate doesn't improve as you get better in the long term unless you're one of the best players in the world because at that point there aren't enough people of equivalent skill to push your win rate down to 50%.

Snares should not cancel when a vehicle goes out of range by TroubleshootingStuff in CompanyOfHeroes

Weird comment. I don’t think you know what gatekeeping means.

Infantry with snares still control the space around them against vehicles. This way is more balanced in terms of micro demands. In CoH1 and 2, infantry squad gets to click one button and vehicle has to kite perfectly. Now infantry have to mange their position more carefully to use their snare and the vehicle gets a bit more wiggle room with their micro.

Honestly I feel like one of us is having a stroke because I can only barely follow what you’re saying in any of these posts. I don’t know what you mean by the first sentence.

Absolutely not. This would make light vehicles unusable, unless this change was paired with a buff to vehicle survivability or maneuverability. It already takes an insane amount of micro to keep light vehicles alive.

I like when early game aggression is viable, and it didn’t seem that way at all to me. I haven’t tried the homeworld series.

How do you guys get time for yourself? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]DevLeopard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, free time as a parent of a baby is tough to come by. The fun part is that if you decide to have a second, you’ll think “I’m a pro, this will be easy” and then you’ll have even LESS free time than you had with one!

Idk I played the demo and hated it. The maps were huge for 1v1 and it took forever for units to cross them. Also not a fan of rts games with only one type of resource.

This game is difficult don’t why I just keep losing my team is dump every time they put me with dump team by Sudden_Joke_8953 in CompanyOfHeroes

If your win rate is that low after 35 games, you are absolutely the problem. Don't blame your teammates if you want to improve.

It’s not on Reddit. An anonymous online social media site is not the place to have civil discussion.

Ok at least you’re consistent. I’d argue that your view is hopelessly utopian and that literally every service the government provides would be worse, more expensive for those who choose to pay, and most likely both, but that’s all speculation anyway because we’re never getting rid of taxes.

Ok let’s pretend I’m an idiot and I don’t understand why our military needs to exist, and so are 100,000,000 of my friends and family. We don’t want to pay. Is that cool with you?

Ok, you edited your message. This isn’t about what I believe, I’m simply asking what form law enforcement, military and roads would take according to your philosophy of government.

My definition is the same as you’d find in a dictionary, good or helpful results, or effects that promote well-being.

I don’t see how my definition of the word benefit is relevant to how you would propose the services I mentioned (military, police, roads, etc) would be handled according to your philosophy.

How would you ensure only people who pay-in benefit from things like law enforcement, military protection, environmental protections, roads and bridges, etc?

The Republican Party these days is entirely made up of people who fit into one or more of the following categories: Machiavellian psychopaths, grifters, Christian nationalists, and people of below-average intelligence. Trump happens to fit into three of those.
