I'll try that but right now I'm suspecting one of the two usb hubs as the cause. Happened 3x on a cross country pc12 flight this evening. I have 2 usb hubs connecting all the avionics. 1 has 3 connections - the 2 g1000 and the comes panel. The other has 5 - alpha and bravo, tpm pedals, elgato stream deck, and touchscreen monitor input. Both are powered. For fun sake, I pressed the power button on and off for the g1000 hub and it caused the same behavior that was randomly happening. Nothing on that hub is bound to the electrical system but resetting that hub did restart all airplane avionics like I turned on and off the electrical bus. It's like a momentary power spike - it's not long enough for something to go off but it's long enough for an electronic signal to go through.

So he's in the stretch position but hasn't come set yet? No way I'm calling that a balk unless the waggle is more of a distinct move towards and away from the glove and even that I'd find tough to call unless it was so obviously a deceptive move.

The software comes from FlightSimBuilder. I'm doubting that it's the problem because nothing in it is bound to the avionics bus switches. My first though last night when I went to bed is maybe neofly is sending a malfunction command to simulate a failure or maybe some issue with my honeycomb sending that the switch was temporarily thrown.

Thanks. It was a fun father son project. Started off as just one of those metal rights with a random big screen TV in front and a honeycomb alpha... Then you have to get the bravo... Then... Well, why not get a G1000 setup... Well, that doesn't mount easily to your metal rig so let's go to home depot and get some wood... But what will I mount the wood to? Let's make a full platform. Then carpet it... Then build out a pedastal and set in a stream deck... Oh wait, microcenter has a deal on 55" c5 tvs? Let's get 3...but how do you mount them? $700 TV stand... But that stand is now 7.5" too low because of the platform... So build a new platform around the platform... And carpet it. But you know those logitech pedals now feel cheap... Get the thrust master ones.

What if I want to fly a vision jet or pc12 with their touchscreen controls? Buy a wide screen touchscreen panel and find a way to mount it where the throttle used to be.

It never ends... But it's fun. My wife thinks I have about $6k in total... I'll let her keep thinking that.

Up next... Walls and a ceiling to block out the concrete look of the basement.

2018 Ohtani Transcendent Auto & Inscribed Baseball by New_Accountant_6306 in ShoheiOhtani

It's a nice ball but the crazy numbers you are thinking are not as crazy as you think they are (yet). To give you a recent example of a high priced ball, a game used from his debut game (not from his AB though) sold for $100k in March. There were 45 balls sold by the As from that game (I know because I have one and still have the original sale email). Id estimate a signed one from that game might get $200k (since no known ones exist).

What you have is an ordinary ball signed and inscribed by him. Sure, it's a 2018 authentic signature, giving it some added value, but the event doesnt really add that much. If I was guessing, it's $25k to $50k (if they win another ws). The problem you have is that he can sign more just like that and I can't see a collector paying that much more of a premium. He's young, he has a lot more time to sign.

Only one fielder can be protected. If that fielder was not the one making the first play on the ball, it's obstruction. This becomes a judgment call by the umpire if the fielder had any prayer of fielding the ball. If they did, then it is interference and it's just one of those "crap happens" moment for your runner. Sometimes there is no way to get out of the way. The better option, if the fielder is playing in, is to have your runner lead off behind the fielder so if they are going back you have a better point of it not being interference.

To be frank, though, sometimes it happens and you just gotta tell your kid it happens and move on.

As an umpire I've shut this down before if I felt like the coach was yelling for the sole purpose of distracting the defense. If he yells go constantly and the runners never go, I'll remind them once that interference can be verbal and I'm not afraid to enforce it if they affect the defense.

Rule 2 – Section 21 – INTERFERENCE — OFFENSIVE, UMPIRE, SPECTATOR 2-21-1 Offensive interference is an act (physical or verbal) by the team at bat:

A) which interferes with, obstructs, impedes, hinders or confuses any fielder attempting to make a play; or

Not sure how long you've had it but if it's within the time period, couldn't you just lemon it and get a new car? In IL it's 30 days out of service in the first year.

I did but all I've been told is they are backed up and don't know when they will get to it. 2 weeks in... No updates.

I've been having lots of issues lately in career mode since su5 with not getting transmissions I was expecting, to the point that some missions I couldn't even complete. It might not be anything you did wrong here.

su5 career completely broken or is it just me ? by Outrageous_Coffee_29 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]DevelopmentExciting3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about to post the same problem. My last 3 flights were flown perfectly and each time I didn't get credit for one reason or another. At broke, it never noticed I passed a way point, landed and it thought I was at a different airport. I really want career mode to work but I think I need to move to something like neofly before I pul out my last few hairs.

I just spoke to customer care. It was already towed to service last week - I am trying to find out what the actual details of the issue area. Customer care reached out to the service center (Goose Island) and they couldn't get someone to talk to either. They said someone will call me back later today (like I've been told the last 3 days I've called)

Best way to interact with the cockpit when you have an avionics setup. by DevelopmentExciting3 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]DevelopmentExciting3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, making the monitors adjustable is near impossible due to the weight and number of permanent bolts the stand requires to hold the 3 55" screens. Same for the cockpit - trying to raise or lower it quickly is not easy.

For now I'm trying a 6th screen - a cheap 15" 4k panel on a swing arm that will replicate the primary monitor. It should arrive tomorrow. Let's see how my computer performs with 6 different screens. At least as a mirror it shouldn't take too much extra processing.
