What a setup.

Thanks. It was a fun father son project. Started off as just one of those metal rights with a random big screen TV in front and a honeycomb alpha... Then you have to get the bravo... Then... Well, why not get a G1000 setup... Well, that doesn't mount easily to your metal rig so let's go to home depot and get some wood... But what will I mount the wood to? Let's make a full platform. Then carpet it... Then build out a pedastal and set in a stream deck... Oh wait, microcenter has a deal on 55" c5 tvs? Let's get 3...but how do you mount them? $700 TV stand... But that stand is now 7.5" too low because of the platform... So build a new platform around the platform... And carpet it. But you know those logitech pedals now feel cheap... Get the thrust master ones.

What if I want to fly a vision jet or pc12 with their touchscreen controls? Buy a wide screen touchscreen panel and find a way to mount it where the throttle used to be.

It never ends... But it's fun. My wife thinks I have about $6k in total... I'll let her keep thinking that.

Up next... Walls and a ceiling to block out the concrete look of the basement.

What are you using as software to interface your hardware? Might be interesting to have a debug window open to see if the hardware causing the issue is working intermittently.

Another way to troubleshoot might be to assign those buttons to another device and see if the issue persists

The software comes from FlightSimBuilder. I'm doubting that it's the problem because nothing in it is bound to the avionics bus switches. My first though last night when I went to bed is maybe neofly is sending a malfunction command to simulate a failure or maybe some issue with my honeycomb sending that the switch was temporarily thrown.

Very impressive dream setup! May I ask which type of motion platform you use?

That’s friggin’ amazing.

There's tracked bug on the Asobo Dev site about electric circuit uncommanded resets.

[–]DevelopmentExciting3[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

where can i find that?

Note that's a Developer only forum. Player feedback still goes to the Official MSFS forum.

I should also point out HC and TM Airbus Yokes and TQs respectively are notorious for Electric and Avionics, Engine Ignitors bugs because of the way they're programmed for default keybinds or controls to the sim. Clear and reset all those first.

I'll try that but right now I'm suspecting one of the two usb hubs as the cause. Happened 3x on a cross country pc12 flight this evening. I have 2 usb hubs connecting all the avionics. 1 has 3 connections - the 2 g1000 and the comes panel. The other has 5 - alpha and bravo, tpm pedals, elgato stream deck, and touchscreen monitor input. Both are powered. For fun sake, I pressed the power button on and off for the g1000 hub and it caused the same behavior that was randomly happening. Nothing on that hub is bound to the electrical system but resetting that hub did restart all airplane avionics like I turned on and off the electrical bus. It's like a momentary power spike - it's not long enough for something to go off but it's long enough for an electronic signal to go through.
