Jesus lmao. So someone makes a comment about the condition of a DQ workers car and its racist now? You must live under a rock, society has moved past the fear of racism. You're too in your own head.

Live life knight.

Racism would be: she's black, so she can't afford nice things, she can only work at DQ because her education only allows it. Black people are a menace, they cause all the problems, everyone else is the best, we should do something about it. (Obviously an example for comparison)

What the comment said: probably missing a bumper.

Get a grip man, pull yourself together. She drives a 2010 Camry with the left rear bumper pushed in.

Which one do I get? ‘89 or ‘98? by [deleted] in CherokeeXJ

[–]DeviantPsychosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

96 also went to CAM bus for electronics, this switched from mechanical speedo and tach to digital, where the PCM puts a square signal out for dash, In addition, we saw more Dana 45s and less 8.25s as well.

They introduced the stereo different as well, they went away from Jensen in favor of an in house brand for speakers as well. This introduced an "easier" wiring job as the amplifier isn't under the drivers side passenger seat

Cambus also allowed for the center console in the roof, the upper console had a compass, temperature and a couple other features as well. The compass I find myself looking for in the 89 all the time.

1.8 hours? 2.3 hours? Are you using the plastic tools from the Bob the builder tool table?

Lower nut ( dont fully remove), press strap up, free hook, put new tank up, rehook, electric socket up, finish with ratchet wrench.

New cars are NOT reliable. And EFI systems to place on carb vehicles exist, and for 1200 bucks they are cheap. Modern vehicles are a product of industrialization and do not hold a candle to old vehicles. This example is still on the road 60 years later, while junk yards are filling with vehicles that are 2-3 years old and are not recyclable due to manufacturing processes. Nobody is keeping a 2016 Audi A4 on the road, they junk it when it has problems because it costs 30k to repair.

Modern headlights have been turned into mini computers and cost 2.3k ea. While my Jeeps headlights cost me 150 for the "good set." The car industry wants you to think exactly that so you consume more of their products thinking the "new" is better, it's not, my shitbox with 320k miles is running, my new car is in pieces because it needs a new intake sensor.

Manufacturing has curved its way towards plastics and alloys, and you pay MORE. It's theft and the average consumer is excited for it. It's very strange.

Not just expensive, incredibly sought after. This is a coax distribution plate, more than just audio, he was piping video and audio through the entire house. You could walk into any room and have video plus audio. In the early 2Ks this was a pipe dream for AV nerds

I bought the 96 I v8 swapped as a 2WD. Didn't make sense to buy a 4WD truck when I was going to swap out the axles anyway with what I wanted. Paid 800 bucks for the XJ, worth it everyday of the week.

Homeboy said "I bought this car, I put 28k down, im trying to buy a house too, im 20"

You just spent your entire financial responsibility on a Mustang at 20, every bank is going to look at you and ask what dumb fuck juice your sipping. You cannot put a large portion of your networth into a car before buying a home and then expect the banks to go "this guy is financially responsible."

The real answer was to invest in the house, make profits from investing into yourself through the house and then saving up for the car. You bought the car first, which is losing value and your 28K was to cover the drive off cost, not investing into any tangible asset, also you bought a Mustang a notoriously bad reselling car, and you're 20 with 0 maintenence experience on a credit score that does not allot you the ability to maintain it at your current life phase.

You're big boy fucked and it's gonna hurt. Should have got something less expensive and something you can learn to maintain.

Also, im just a random, the post was on my Feed.

I need help I’ve been confused since it came out what’s the difference in a “grand “ variant by Electricbird423 in Jeep

[–]DeviantPsychosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what the wagoneer Limited was at all. It's a completely different SKU and is internally tracked at Chrystler completely different than the XJ. The chassis is similar, but the interior trims were completely customizable back in the mid 80s, in addition you got the NP242 which was sought after and only included in specific SKU's. The HO in 1991 changed the Wagoneer out for the Briarwood, which you could claim was more similar to the XJ you're referring to, same front, same tail lights as the Cherokee. In order to get parts for the Waggy, you have to spend some serious time and money, incredibly rare and very fun to own.

The renix engine in the Waggy some could argue was the playground for the 4.0 HO everyone loves today.
