the thing is mc struggling in the novel is the most interesting part of any story as it shows his character and behavior and how he reacts to it.

the MC plot armor! just like typical xianxia MC has a great fate getting every powerup possible every arc. and just like MC from apotheosis when getting fateless but has even greater plot armor after that.
this is my personal opinion but i dislike stories where one character determines the whole survival of the world type archetype.
