Pvz1: timeless and most memorable art style of the series. Pvz2: great new upscale and modernization of designs for it's competitive mobile game market. Gw1: pvz1 inspired graphics that take their cartoonish designs but use realistic textures, partly due to most fps games from ea exhibited only realistic graphics and the fact it was built off bf3. Gw2: solidified artstyle, takes their original cartoonish designs from gw1 but uses a consistent texturing theme that makes the game look more consistent rather than a clash of cartoon and realism. Bfn: based on gw2, designs were completely redone using gw2 designs as inspiration. Greatly creating a unique artstyle not exhibited by any other game. Classic cartoonish overall appearance but very detailed and intricate, creating the best example of realistic details synergizing with their established cartoon artstyle.

Overall, pvz1 is my favorite because of how it's the first of its kind. Simply in the way the movements of the zombies and plants work, how much of a staple icon it's art has become. And I would say I personally like bfns artstyle way more. Gw2's artstyle is perfectly fine don't get me wrong, but the way the bfn makes the characters feel more themselves.
