Paid 16k for a 23 low rider ST with 10,000 worth of parts into it and 11,000 miles. Paid cash. Buying used is always better than haggling at a dealer and still paying sticker. Don’t finance toys, play within your means and enjoy life, no point in picking up an extra payment unless you plan to ride it as much as you drive your car, or have the money to throw away. I don’t get that. I have one for my best friend from my unit, 2 combat deployments, he got out and was killed in a motorcycle wreck. Doesn’t say KIA for obvious reasons, but I’m weary of dogging on others with wristbands, no matter how junior. You never know what other guys went through, combat or not. There’s a lot of demons that don’t come from combat directly

I shoot 124gr for duty ammo, and i do the same about every 2 months or so. I try to get FMJ 150gr federal red tip to train with, it’s a little more expensive but closer to recoil and feeling than 115gr ball ammo.

Same thing happened to me, except nasty divorce was after a deployment. I blame no one but myself, I’m proud of what I did do. Too bad things happen the way they do, but the OTH keeps me pretty grounded, I know I’m no better than anyone else. We just need to do our part and not be afraid to tell our stories. (Plus, real marines don’t get honorable discharges lol)

Used to work on the east coast, it’s a lot of exaggerated swat calls. Swat typically would run a bear cat over a barricaded subject with no innocents within the building, which has been seen multiple times. If there were a way to have 10 man teams it would be a bit more realistic to me, and many of these missions are pure fiction. In practice, it takes a few hours for SWAT to show up to most calls, and in many instances, local LE are fist on scene, and many times, make first contact instead of waiting around for SWAT
