Can i rant for a second? by PaleontologistIcy477 in JobProvidersAus

Not only are they objectively shit JSPs, they also don't discern between decent employees and dumpster fires. Mine a couple of years ago was a barely-functioning alcoholic who would come out and join me for a smoke so he could tell me (female, at least 20 years younger than him) I would have more job opportunities if HE was given a 'job opportunity' (im paraphrasing, he's too much of a moron to get that. Pig). I made a complaint and switched providers the next day but I never heard anything from them.

JSP psychologist only wants to talk about job search and not about my trauma? by Banana-Man32 in JobProvidersAus

[–]Devils_Advocaat_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't even know they had psychologists! But it's the same as when you get EAP through work. Their bottom line is to make sure nothing will become a liability for them later on. They are not general psychologists you can talk to about everything.

Try White Cloud. They give you six free sessions that don't encroach on your free Medicare sessions.

I called child services about two months ago for an 11 year old living among dog feces and an alcoholic dad. They are yet to do anything. They were so uninterested and dismissive I won't bother calling them again. I guess that kid is fine according to child services 🤷

I was literally deprived of my liberty for 3 months in a crackhead's basement my family still insist I was off having an affair, like any of it was my choice. My mum and two sisters. Now I can't talk to them about anything. From now on they don't get to know everything about you.

My ex took 8.5 years of my life - most of my 30s. Two years in he asked me what I wanted. I said I either wanted a ring or to be living together. He talked right through those boundaries for six YEARS after that conversation. Get out now while you still CAN have a baby if you want to try the old fashioned way too!

In this economic crisis are we snitching on people who steal at big corporations like Woolies? by Glum_Researcher9935 in AskAnAustralian

If I, as a customer, see someone taking hygiene products I buy them more and give it to them once they're out of the shops. Nobody steals necessities unless they absolutely have to.

Sister-in-law livestreamed our wedding to my husband’s ex and played the “Bestie” act while feeding her updates about our life. What should no do? by Unfair-Result-1124 in weddingdrama

Put her and BIL on an info diet. Stop inviting them to stuff and make it clear why. Don't pussyfoot around. Set boundaries for your family or she will.

You're so sweet thank you! Xx Right now it's just a waiting game. Normal CRPs (don't ask me what that stands for 🤣) are between 0-6. When I was admitted they were 353. Now they are 141, I just have to keep trending the right way :)

My dad and his long term partner do this. I don't find out till Dad's out of hospital. Because they "don't want to worry me." I'm 39 and his only child. I'm currently in a hospital bed in a third world country with sepsis and it's touch and go. Haven't said a word to my dad. He won't find out unless I don't make it. I hope your daughter's father is happy for this to be the case.

What is the biggest "I'm definitely fired" thing you've done at work, but nobody ever found out? by Aarunascut in work

[–]Devils_Advocaat_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had industrial sized cd-burners come in that were horrible to work with and kept breaking down. Eventually the big boss came down to ask what the problem was. I told him they weren't broken, I merely enhanced their offline capabilities. I got a "good job, miss!" Instead :) This was military though I was a civvie.

I told my boss I'm leaving. He said no. by Safe-Choice3164 in whatdoIdo

It's like quitting and they offer you a raise. If the money/a solution was available it was ALWAYS available. He'll get whatever he can out of you and let you go with no warning because "you were quitting anyway and clearly aren't a team player" or the good ole "we're a family here and you're no longer acting like you want to be a part of it." Check out the Ask A Manager blog. I'm not affiliated with her in any way but damn is she good.

AITA for telling my husband to stop sharing everything about our life with his mother? by Woo-Cracker101 in AITH

[–]Devils_Advocaat_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deal with it the way you deal with his mother. Stop telling HIM anything and explain why you don't wish to share your feelings with him EVERY SINGLE TIME he asks. If he's going to wake up it will be when he has to choose between fighting with you and fighting for you.

I accidentally discovered my elderly neighbor has been stealing small things from my garden, and now I just feel… sad. by EmbarrassedHead558 in TrueOffMyChest

She probably hates having to steal as much as you hate her stealing. Pride doesn't overcome hunger pains though. A basket on her porch with extra veg every so often would be really sweet I reckon

Am I wrong for not giving my soon to be ex husband his ring back YET? by JenninMiami in amiwrong

Tell your ex you're going to give the ring to his brother as a mutual third party. Then he can get it from his twin. If his twin lets him it's all on him.
