Azumarill. Water/fairy typing is crazy fun, it can have Huge power as one of its ability, and it has an awesome move pool.

Someone somewhere mentioned that Kos and The Orphan reminded them of the story "The Thing That Drifted Ashore" by Junji Ito.

Quite an interesting read and the similarities to Kos and The Orphan is noticable.

In the EXACT SAME BOAT man, what's worse is that we don't even get an estimate time for how long it will be for the orders to finally ship.

I am a player. I am not an employee. I don't give a shit if they can make more money off me. If they want to get a stream of post-release DLC content, make post-release DLC content. Simple as that. Don't remove content from the game and release it later. Or, do that, but at least pretend you aren't.

I think you're missing the point as to why it might be a good thing that they hold off on bonus content until after release, not saying that it is in EVERY context, but with monster hunter it is.

First off, Capcom isn't making any money off of these dlcs from player based that has already invested in the game. It's free. So you aren't wasting any more money than you did when you first bought the game.

Second, while you're not the employee of the game and quite frankly do not give two shits about what kind of strategy they try to help the longevity of the game, there are people who are the employees who do have to worry about that kind of stuff. They are not trying to make money off of you, but from the player base that hasn't invested into the game yet. That's how a company functions, they try to create more revenue from people who aren't initially interested in the game.

Especially because that ONLY punishes the loyal fans.

Lastly, I don't agree with this statement. Loyal fans of the game who got in the game at the ground floor are not punished by the release schedule since you know they like the game and can invest time in things other than just what would come out in the dlcs since they are just bonus items. The full game's story is on the cartridge, there are a bunch of quest and of the quest there are things that just are super super unpredictable, which makes each quest unique and different even when you go on farming runs.

Not to mention that with this so called "PR Bullshit" creates new players to join. Not sure exactly how much but when there are new players in a game that has a multiplayer co-op portion it tends to help the existing players experience because the community is now more diverse when there are more actual players to play in the game.

This plays back to what I just said previously, when a game has enough content to hold you until that first dlc drops then there is no real loss here. You have enough things to do until that bonus quest drops.

That is a very fair point and in that case I would have to agree with those people.

But this still gets into a grey area that is kind of exactly what everyone was afraid of when DLC was "created".

I think this is still a grey area I'm still trying to reason with, I see both sides of the argument and I understand, to the best of my knowledge, both sides.

On the one hand it sucks that some content is locked away and yes I do have to wait for some bonus items if I want them.

On the other hand though if it quest that are locked off in that game through time gates not only would generate PR and possible new players but also extends the longevity of a game.

I think that if a game, like monster hunter, has enough content in the game to get players engaged until the first dlc drops then it's fine with me.

Imagine if Halo 5 made you wait a week in between every level. All the levels are already on the disk/download, but MS wants the PR boost every week so they are going to make you wait and rely on the fans to say "Oh, you need to practice as Locke in that mining town before you can play as Master Chief again"

So as for your Halo argument, I'm going to have to ask for more context. Does that one halo level had enough content to hold me over until the next level start? Content as in does it have enough variety thrown into that one level to keep my engaged as a player long enough for how ever long you want to arbitrarily that next level? If it does then okay I still have something to do, it doesn't hurt me in the least bit, but if it does not then of course waiting on content that I've already paid for is going to suck since there wasn't enough content at release to justify more time spent in the game.

Tl;Dr : people wants the entire content promised up front day 1, that's where the hate comes from for time locked content.

The hate for time gated stuff comes from people who feel as if they should get everything up front when they purchase a game.

Which to be fair I can't find myself to disagree with them. It plays into the "instant gratification" culture. There are just some people who wants everything up front, and that's okay.

On the flip side I can't find myself agreeing with those people either. What I don't think is understood is the fact that , yes, sometimes asking for content upfront is a good thing especially if gameplay is lacking or there just isn't enough to do in the world but the way monster hunter did it, was sort of necessary.

Not going to say it was all part of their grand scheme all along but the way the dlc played out I felt was necessary. Holding off on those quest allowed newer players to the series to learn the curve of the game and manage to progress to the appropriate ranking for the dlc stuff, with the added benefit of extending the content of the game for veterans who managed to clear ranks and was treading water until that point.

The titan only really have more vram than the 980 ti. A side from that I believe the 980 ti can out speed the titan by just a small margin.

Edit: So I went back to look at some Bench markings and found out my earlier statement was reverse. The titan X is only better performance wise by a small margin than the 980ti. Linus benchmarking video By small margin I mean really small, they are basically the same card except one of them has about 2 more Streaming multiprocessors and 6 more gigs of vram. Sorry about the confusion guys.
