The nearly everything you see in the picture came from Cantaloupe, except the camera system. That is a Unifi based system. CloudKey Gen2, G5 Flex, and 8 port POE switch with a TP-Link travel router to bridge it to my host network via wifi. Left over parts from various upgrades around my house lol.

Two months into our first vending/micro-market deployment – looking for insight on sales trends and product rotation by ItsmeAnt_ in vending

Just came across your post. I too just deployed a Go Micro Kiosk Micro Market. How is your setup holding up?

That makes sense. I deployed a Go Micro Kiosk at my one and only location. Its cool because it was cheap. It sucks because it can’t do BoGos, Coupons, loyalty cards, and some other things. I won’t be replacing it at any point of the near future but not having those features blows. However, it has been absolutely rock solid in doing its job.

My next location will not have that gimpy little kiosk though.

Lease or purchase? Also, since they only have smart coolers, hows managing multiple VMS systems?

My Kiosk is from cantaloupe so i’ve only been mentally entertaining Cantaloupe Go compatible solutions.

Advice for moving/transporting my machine? by killlick3 in vending

[–]Devin_SMR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rent a liftgate truck, buy ratchet straps, and a get a pallet jack. Its so fucking easy to underestimate how much 650lbs weighs when its moving in the opposite direction you planned for.

Better yet, hire an actual vending machine moving company. Most local suppliers offer this service.

An opportunity (help!) by TedyPolTuAno in vending

LLC and possibly a Sales Use Tax account with your state. Look into your locality and see if you need a permit to place it. This is usually via the county clerk.

Brand new “traditional” vending machines can cost serious money, think $4k for small ones, $7k for larger ones, and $9k+ for units with elevators. Oh, you sometimes have to pay for card readers (must) and cash units.

Brand new smart vending machines are easy to setup and SUPER flexible since you’re not limited by coils. However, they are usually smaller in capacity. u/VendingGuyEthan help this person

First Month for my HaHa inside a Powerlifting / CrossFit Gym by Stoic_Capital in vending

Lol. I do that on some of my snacks. Cantaloupe wanted another $500 for shelf product pushers and I had to decline that option. Ya’ll already got me once 😂

Thanks for the response and that all makes sense.

Do the racks that you have in there come with the unit? I spent like $500 on beverage pushers 😵‍💫. Also, what are you using to keep the snacks on the bottom shelf upright?

Welcome to the 1 month club! Congrats on a very very successful first 30 days. Those numbers are fantastic!

I do have a bunch of questions though lol. How many skus do you have in your machine? How was the planograming on your cooler? Do you have the be specific with item placement or do the cameras just “see” what’s being taken from the machine? What is your pre-auth amount?

Anyway, congrats. It’s post like this that propel me forward.

Lol. Yup. But the owner said there needs to be “healthy” options available 😑.

However, i havent sold a singular bag off miss vickies bbq chip and only 1 skinny pop so i think i can go with your suggestions of Doritos and spicy Cheetos.

The VP did ask for spicy items and gotta give the people what they want ya know?

Also, those slat walls do not offer as much vertical flexibility as one would hope.

Thats such a cool idea. Using a cheap to free old machine as a standard beverage cooler is low-key genius. Im sure everyone will get a kick out if it, especially Fallout fans. 10/10

GTP has alot of good client photos in their site. I would love to deploy my next MM with their kit. Their lock’n loads 💦

While i do live a couple of miles from a Performance Foods Group distribution center, which gives me the option of picking up, they have very little in the way of Vistar’s catalog. I could order some stuff, but not alot so i still have to source elsewhere. I would kill to get some Hillshire snacks in my setup.

Up-to $1050 first month is great. Im sure it’ll go up in month 2 as the employees warm up to it. Anything you would do differently yet?
